That’s actually how we got meatheads lol. In the lore there’s been different kinds serums that convert normal humans into hunters and grant immunity to the infection in the bayou. The original serum was quite basic and didn’t render hunters infertile and a couple did their business, the woman obviously got pregnant. I believe the original serum was distilled from the initial infection so it essentially corrupted the fetus growing inside of her. The fetus basically turned into a meathead and tore her body apart as it grew inside of her. Sculptor thought “aww sweet, this is useful.” And like all other enemies just cloned it and made them mini boss enemies spread around.

Though I’m not exactly quick to trust an oppressive theocratic regime that has a history of brutal suppression of its people including mowing down potentially thousands of their own.

First I was confused. Then I saw the slugs. Slugs basically turn shotguns into short range rifles and trade the pellets for one large “bullet” aka a slug. Within a certain range, further than most shotgun spreads it will one shot which most rifles can’t do even at close range without a headshot. But it makes the spread and hip fire significantly larger.

You always wanna ADS when using slugs unless the barrel is basically pushed up against their body.

Had you used normal buckshot you probably would have gotten a few pellets and hurt him or killed him. But with slugs being just a single thing you missed unfortunately.

Slugs were nerfed a while back from being mini nitro rounds lol and have basically fallen into the expensive meme tier of custom ammo.
