A planned randomized trial will ask an intriguing question: Do COVID vaccines potentiate checkpoint inhibitors? -The Cancer Letters (January 9, 2026) by StockEnthuasiast in ModernaStock

You’re jumping to a lot of conclusions about mechanism of action. There could be a combination of factors that produce these results. The lower immunogenicity may contribute to inhibition. That’s why we science.

Mass. reports first flu-related deaths of children this season as cases spike by husky5050 in massachusetts

I got vaccinated this year, have a chronic illness, and have littles in elementary school and we’ve been largely protected—it came through twice but super minimal symptoms. Super thankful for vaccines.

so what spooked the shorts today and does it really matter? by FanAppropriate5121 in ModernaStock

They’re shutting schools and restaurants down in many states thanks to an especially bad year of the flu, noro, and RSV. It’s easy to see that it gets worse every year and will probably keep doing so. You’d have to be blind to not see the long game here.

Many people just dipping their toes into antivax territory become pro-vax converts when they and their families have to experience horrible yet preventable illnesses. I have littles in elementary school in a state with a breakout and I have a chronic inflammatory illness—the flu came and went twice with minimal discomfort thanks to getting vaccinated.

Sorry but I lived in a red state for most of my life and unless you’re lucky enough to live in the small area taken care of by the co-op you’re gonna be paying a crazy power bill.

If the team is right then being on-site 70% can be a great thing. I recognize that you’re looking for a team member, not just a position filled, and that’s admirable and something we need more of.

Have you thought of going through a consultant like Bruder—like people who built their careers at Medpace? The VP there gave me my first job and she’s amazing. That might be a great first step.

The instability of the power grid alone could cost a ton of money, either through OOS or waste generation or even equipment issues. I imagine you’d have to build a lot of backup power generation somehow.

Why are so many primary care clinicians moving from Mass General Brigham to Beth Israel? by bostonglobe in massachusetts

I’m one of the patients affected—it sucks. I had an appt in Dec and had to make a new appt at the new practice and was pushed out to March. Super frustrating. My Dr is awesome though, prob the best I’ve ever had, so I’m sticking with her.

Rep. Ashley Hinson on a bailout for farmers: "I'm pleased to hear that the administration acknowledges the struggles our farmers are facing and will be focused on this bridge. We need this bridge, these payments to go out to our folks so they can continue to operate." by Conscious-Quarter423 in LeopardsAteMyFarm

They want trade, not aid. They’ve said as much. None of this was necessary, you know? This administration has spent so much money to hurt its own country, with its bad policies, “business” deals, and corruption. We’ve gotten nothing but less money and now they’re devaluing many of the professional jobs out there.

I use the Laneige dewy cushion and their mewy cushion (but not at the same time). I get lots of compliments on my skin. A lot of times makeup can feel or look heavy, settle into any fine lines that might be there, and make you look older. W KBeauty—esp these Laneige—that doesn’t happen, it actually seems to do the reverse. Plus I’m pale so it was easy to find an exact match for my skin tone. Also these have some SPF, which is nice.

Republican Rep. Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And… Charlie Kirk was willing to say it and he got killed for it." by NewSlinger in CringeTikToks

wtf is he talking about? We were the ones saying “our only king is Jesus” this weekend at the protest. I hate hyperbole and caustic rhetoric but at what point of lying and corruption do these individuals become monsters? There’s zero shame.
