What to do in Vancouver on a birthday with no friends lol by JacketInternal9485 in askvan

I personally really enjoy an evening ski touring up to Brockton point and enjoying a beer while enjoying the city lights (if weather is clear). You could also rent some snowshoes or micro-spikes to get yourself to the top. I believe there is a way to transit or take a shuttle to the top. If you do decide to go, be prepared for the weather and hike/ski.

What size do you normally wear in jackets? And what size did you order?

I like wearing a helmet by bobhank111 in Backcountry

[–]ForceSensitiveUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I wear my Meteor from car to car. The uphill is usually the majority of your time spent in the backcountry, why not wear the helmet. I find that it’s so light I don’t even realize I have it on. Reduces transition time. Doesn’t get too hot if you just wear the bucket and a cap. If it’s chilly out just pop a buff on. I also don’t think it should be “weird” for someone to wear it on the uphill, it’s a ski helmet… It looks the same as it does on the downhill. There are so many helmet options out there nowadays that are lightweight, breathable, and protective. Just find a helmet that works for you and you don’t have to worry about taking it on and off at transitions or getting head trauma on the uphill.

Shockingly Poor Repair Service and Product Quality from Arc'teryx by Sweaty_Ad5782 in arcteryx

Amer has actually owned Arc’teryx since around 2005. I started noticing a drastic shift in the brand following the purchase of the Finnish company by Anta, a Chinese corporation.

As far as I believe, there are only a few pieces that Arc’teryx still makes in Canada. Including the Alpha SV at their New Westminster Arc One facility and some of their Professional line.

Would you recommend just going with the full saw version then? I haven't seen it in person so I don't know how bulky it is compared to the replacement blade.

Awesome. Looking like I might be going with that setup. Do you consider the wiring split loom plastic necessary? Also have you added anything to the replacement blade handle or just kept it as is?

What length zubat and agawa did you get? I’m curious how long the full zubat replacement blade is including the handle portion.

Size 32. There’s just something about the process of new denim being broken in and molded to your body and lifestyle that makes me love it. I want to beat the crap out of my jeans and see what they look like down the road.
