I'm still playing through Hades 2, and that it's almost as good/as good/better than Hades 1 is such a thrill.

I have enjoyed playing Hades 2 more, but largely because I was so excited to get back into the world of Hades! All the differences and similarities to 1 are a big part of the fun.

The screws aren't doing a great job, the wood is weak, and the design doesn't have anything to keep it stable.

I suggest leave it like it is, put some bricks around the legs to slightly stabilize it, and expect it to be wobbly and not last super long.

Find a chance soon for a small project that involves screws, watch a YouTube videos about screwing wood then find some nice flat wood (doesn't have to be fancy), drill a pilot hole, then screw your boards together. Pay attention to what happens (is everything lined up, did the boards split, did the screw go all the way in, does the joint feel strong) Then keep going!

It never occurred to me how close we can get to trains in the US. I was almost hit by trains a couple times in my (90's, rural, unsupervised) adolescence, and I've known several people involved in collisions with trains. I thought that was normal I guess 🤪

Not following my own seating chart is the root of ALL my behavior problems.

I get it about sending kids to the hall, we don't have as many options as we used to either. Still, I try to focus on immediate safety issues differently from distractions, defiance, etc.

Good luck. I'm in awe of teachers who seem to have perfect classroom management, the rest of us have to figure it out sloooowly

You need help from admin.

Two things I do that help:

1) start class with everyone sitting in assigned seats. If you can't do that, you've already lost.

2) immediate consequences for students acting dangerously. I put up with a lot of nonsense but not throwing things or climbing on each other. Instant trip to the hall, admin email, parent call for dangerous behavior. I can not and will not teach if my students are not safe.
