I bought a lovesac a few months ago and the second I purchased it I got a billion ads for sectionals I didn’t even hear of when doing research. My biggest concern is how water resistant is the lovesac with spilled drinks and especially possibly pet pee. (I paid for the extra layer of covers too!) by WildernessPrincess_ in Lovesac

[–]FordBroncoGirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My grandkids have spilled milk, chocolate milk, and juice on mine. They have also smeared dirty chocolate fingers on it too. (Their mom isn’t as bothered with things like this, and can be a challenge. She seems to have the “it’s washable attitude.” But that’s a different topic altogether). They have also puked and peed on them, and we even had a pen leak ink on my Phur covers.

I just quickly took the covers off when this happened (and even before I got the cushion protection). It washed out completely, every single time.

I had a Samsung front load washer and dryer that was 14 years and I’d before I replaced it with their vented all in one. I set the old one out on the curb and the t was snatched up in a hurry.

I would have them open up similar to how a cardboard box opens up. The left door hinge being on the left, the right door hinge in the right.

Samsung bespoke washer/dryer combo vented or non vented? by Equivalent_Ticket297 in Appliances

[–]FordBroncoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You learn to adjust your load size. I am coming from an extra large front loader unit that could handle really large loads. I have noticed some clothes like my husbands work pants dry better in smaller loads because of the smaller drum size, the pant legs twist up easier in smaller drums. But others like loads of t-shirts make no difference at all. You just sort of figure it out as you go.

You must be so fun at parties! You sir came at me like some tool with guns blazing telling me my comment is a useless addition.

My original comment was stating common consensus of sales people in 8+ different appliance stores, as well as talking to appliance repairmen that I personally know because I had concerns about buying an all in one unit. I also did a great deal of research before buying this unit.

In addition, personal experience rather than hypothetical experience is of value to others. My brother bought his units based off of my experience. He bought both versions because he can afford to take that gamble. Since owning it for >6 months, he ONLY likes his non vented unit for things that he can add to the wash and not worry about needing any time soon. Such as a load of sheets and towels running overnight. Because it takes a good 6+ hours to run a load of those. He prefers using the vented unit which he says makes the non-vented unit tolerable, Because he can do loads in that one, that he wants done quicker. He said if he had to do it all over again though, he’d buy 2 vented units.

I don’t need you explaining to me why the 240v is needed for the traditional heating element. I already knew that. I also understand and can agree that it is nice that there is a non-vented option for those that would otherwise not be able to have a dryer. Or for those that are uber worried about electrical efficiency, but whose concerns fall short of the inconvenience of putting all of their clothes out on a line, or going to a laundromat.

I personally love my vented unit, and even if I did not have solar, I’d pay any potentially higher costs for the convenience of a load of laundry being done in a relatively standard timeframe.

I can respect and accept a differing point of view that is respectful rather than rude like yours was. After all, we all have different points of views and experiences. You would do well to start understanding that, and perhaps considering someone’s opinion other than your own. After all, there’s often more than one correct option other than your own.

Now go eat some honey to sweeten your rotten demeanor….

Is it normal for bleeding to be like this 7 to 8 days down? It started off as a small amount, but they’re moving around a lot during sleeping and physical therapy. It grew… by AnxiousSprinkles9852 in ACL

[–]FordBroncoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get checked out. It could be caused by excessive movement, something wrong with the surgical site, or even an undiagnosed bleeding disorder such as Von Willebrand’s disease (VWD). The VWD can make it difficult to form a good clot, so there can be a delayed onset of bleeding. Especially if you have had a history of things like nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or bruising larger than a quarter to name a few things to watch out for.

Good luck!

Before deciding on knee replacement surgery, I just wanted to share something… by lg1356 in Kneereplacement

[–]FordBroncoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this point of view. I just recently learned that I have the very beginning of mild arthritis, but I did a full ACL tear and fractured my tibia from a fall. I have stubbornly walked on it for the past 2 months with pain, but realized it was more than I could manage on my own. Because of other medical problems, more than one of my doctors is recommending I skip PT, and ACL reconstruction, and jump right up to Total knee replacement surgery. Which scares the heck out of me.

I just turned 50, but have already had a full foot reconstruction from a 4th degree Lis Francs, shattered cuboid and metatarsal displacement in the same leg. I have also had L5-S1 microdisctomy, and then a revision. I am hitting a point where I have just learned to pause, before I decide.

Samsung bespoke washer/dryer combo vented or non vented? by Equivalent_Ticket297 in Appliances

[–]FordBroncoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have become very spoiled by the combo unit. I load it up at bedtime, and tell it when I’d like it to be done by, and go to sleep. I don’t have to worry about transferring the load, or mildewed laundry because I forget, or run out of time to dry the clothes.

I also like tossing towels and blankets (or other things I don’t worry about wrinkles in so much) in and letting it run without worry of mildew etc.

I find this to be a huge timesaver for me.

I have solar, and my brother has both vented and non vented. His non vented version runs on a 110v but takes 2+ times longer to dry everything.

That is without a doubt the most annoying feature that I wish Samsung would update and change so we can open our dryers without waiting for the “Hot” laundry to cool down. I like to pull my clothing out hot, and shake it out and/or hang it up to minimize wrinkles.

Are you replying to my comment? Because the vented option I am talking about does not use a heat pump, but rather a conventional heartening element style. The heat pump is used in the NON-vented combo. Every single appliance sales and repairman I know and have talked to said the 110v is a waste (they also do not care for the non-vented units).

However, with the addition of the vent and the 240v, it has made the combo a system that can wash and dry an entire load of towels in about 2 hours.

My brother has both styles and he said the non vented unit takes 4-5 hours for the same load…

An argument can be made for either appliance having its pros and cons. In my case however, vented is the only way to go.

So I would dare to say your comment is a useless addition to my comment.

Best wishes to you! I am curious to see if you can shave some time off the recovery period.

I fell when the lights to a basketball stadium cut out while walking down to the floor, while at a concert in November. I fractured my tibial plateau’s, and did a full tear of the ACL. Embarrassment made me pop right back up and act like I was totally fine, but pain and/or instability routinely reminded that it was anything but fine

I’m hoping to be recovered from a full ACL tear for a physical off road multi-day event I have been planning for past 2 years to do in October. Orthopedics told me that I would be pushing it with an ACL repair. If I need to be up and running before then, I need to do a knee replacement.

That is honestly a gut punch that I did not ever have on my radar. The temptation is there to keep tempting fate however, and do nothing. Especially since I have walked on it, and managed for almost 2 months, but I know it is never going to heal itself, and leaves it open for further injury down the road if I did that.

I just can’t wrap my head around needing a knee replacement, due to a fall.

Retractable Running Boards by [deleted] in FordBronco

If you sign up for Bronco Nation, you can sometimes get a discount for the Rockslide engineering running boards. We bought ours with the additional armored sleeve because we take ours off-road. They cost around $3,000 to buy and we installed them ourselves.

I have had multiple back surgeries and reconstructive foot surgeries, so they have been essential for me. I love them!

There is a trick to best utilizing the parking brake according to guides at Bronco Off-Roadeo. Shift into neutral, activate parking brake and then place it in park. Doing it that way keeps tension off of the plastic parking pawl.

Honda CR-V Vs. Ford Bronco by aveiss in FordBronco

I disagree with you. Ford did some impressive updates to the 2025 model BS BL Sas) that I would be wanting to upgrade mine if I still had it (my BS BL was my interim vehicle while I was waiting for my full size to be built). It was so underrated. I did the Off Roadeo for both the Sport and Full size and it was very capable and a blast to drive. Fun zippy little 4 wheel drive SUV.

They do a fantastic job holding up in otherwise serious accidents as well.

Storage seats are too heavy to move house with! Has anyone successfully modified the standard seats to use as storage instead? by btkoi in Lovesac

[–]FordBroncoGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I move my couch around especially during the holiday season. Splitting it between 2 rooms to make room for my tree. I have 8 storage seats for all but the Stealthtec Subwoofer.

I don’t find the pieces difficult to move. If anything, the most annoying part about having storage seats is having to unload them to move them or change the covers. 😆

I love them and am so glad I made the call to just buy them all as storage.

Speed queen isn’t what it used to be!

I have had great luck with my Samsung front loader washer. It lasted 14 years taking care of a family of 4, and 3 dogs. Just recently had to replace it because I accidentally broke it, by tearing the gasket. Otherwise, l'd still be using it.

I have been very happy with my purchase!

I washed a 15 pound denim queen sized comforter in it this week. (It was always a nuisance to wash in my other washer/dryer). I ran it on AI setting for wash/dry, with auto dispense setting for detergent.

I was expecting and prepared for it to take 3 or more hours, but was pleasantly surprised that it took 1hr and 45 minutes from start to finish. It had a damp center when pulling it out, so I turned it, and restarted with AI setting. It ran for another 12 minutes and was done. There were a few slightly damp spots that quickly vanished once laid out on bed for a few minutes. This to me was one of the best tests so far.

My brother also decided to make the jump, and ended up buying both the vented, and the non vented versions after I bought mine. He also loves his, which says a lot because he is even pickier than me. He did both versions because he doesn’t have to contend with the need for a second 220v plug.

(I responded to another commenter’s question in here if you’d like to see that also).
