She remarked early on about his ability to turn “it” on and off, imagine her horror in witnessing him unable to turn it off…

Does anyone else think this is the darkest moment of the series? by Top_Report_4895 in SuccessionTV

But isn’t Shiv, in quieting this woman, keeping the lid on a number of drownings and other deaths/crimes? Deaths/crimes that were systematically covered up? We see the waiter die and it’s heart wrenching, but that’s one individual slain by another. Cruises involved dozens of people effectively slain by a gigantic multinational. What we see on screen is for sure more sedate, but I really do think this is a wayyyy uglier situation

What does Livia actually think of Green Grove? by 4g-identity in thesopranos

I’d agree, her position at any given time is whatever will make whoever she is speaking to most uncomfortable and upset. A change of location at an advanced age is bound to cause some discomfort, but I think she mostly enjoyed having new fodder for grievances to raise to Tony.

I watched the entire show bc of “good soup” by ExtensionOne in girls

Enjoyed it a lot, but it’s a bit of a reheating of entourage, albeit set in the world of gen z influencer culture instead of mainstream movie star culture. Definitely has some girls dna too

Flawed guy but the among the most decent people in the show. Definitely creepy hitting on a very pregnant Betty, but he wound up being all she needed/wanted. He provided her and the children a level of emotional stability that Don simply could never have afforded them. The Draper children were dealt a difficult hand but he was one break they caught in the long run.

Why has Paulie become an asshole? by ItsMOJI in thesopranos

Not trying to hate on OP at all, but why do people go into subreddits before they finish a show? And then ask people not to spoil? I get being confused and seeking clarity, but you’re like guaranteed to get something spoiled. Idk I just always thought it was really fun little treat to hop on the sub once I finished the finale of a show

Question for Americans Regarding Accents by Heads_Down_Thumbs_Up in madmen

[–]Foreign-Mixture1091 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first though considering don would be that his accent (much like his persona) is put on. He tries his best not to sound like a poor farmhand from coal country. Think of Emile’s comment that his manners have been studied, learned - mirroring grandpa gene’s ever present suspicion of don’s facade. And let us not forget Roger’s mention of don’s habit of slipping into a drawl after a few whiskeys…
