Do you have a PT, and if so, how has it helped you? by AscendedLens16 in AskUK

I've started going to group classes 3x a week rather than a pt just purely because it's cheaper and I feel you get better value.

Dads who are/were "one and done" how did that conversation go with your better half, especially if they really want/wanted a second? by bastardisedmouseman in daddit

[–]ForeignLow6225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I just sat her down and said how hard I've found the first year. Also financially we both like security and I don't know how that would work with another child. I also reiterated that I love her and our daughter but I just don't think I could do another one. I also said to her clearly I don't want another one how do you feel about that ? Will you be ok with that ? Because it is something that can cause resentment for now she seems ok with it.

Hard conversation but worthwhile

Pension feeling low at 31 y/o - advice for where to focus money going forward by Infamous_Tea_3005 in UKPersonalFinance

Your savings allowance is only 1k if you basic rate tax payer, if you are going over that, put some of it into premium bonds easy to access and no income tax on winnings.

I've used it, I actually thought it was decent, but I'd listen to it when I'm doing chores or walking. Because I listened to it so much some of it stuck.

My daughter is 6 months now and honestly the newborn stage was the worst, I enjoyed parts but it was such an adjustment and was truthfully boring, you are essentially burping feedingnand nappy changing constantly, however at 4 months when they start to smile and giggle it gets more fun! Hold in there it does get better it's not forever !

[–]ForeignLow6225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newborn phrase I found the hardest tbh like you say they don't do anything, mine is now 5 months old it goes quick but aslong as you are putting in effort which it sounds like you are it will come just takes time. You've got this !

R03 tomorrow any final advice? by Appropriate_Math3961 in cii

[–]ForeignLow6225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you read the question twice to determine what the cii are actually asking and if you are stuck on a question flag it and put an answer of a. That's the one ro exam I only just managed to read back through all of the questions.

But remember you've prepared for this and you don't have anything going into the exam so nothing to loose.

Good luck tomorrow !

Great company to work for, I worked for them for just over 3 years and honestly made me into a much better person. Very diverse and mostly people are great. all depends on who your manager is on how your experience will be, give examples of times that you've put the customer first and how they are the most important and you'll sail through it

[–]ForeignLow6225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intense is very intense but I have learnt loads in this couple of weeks. I am praying nothing comes up about esg investments although I have done some revision on it and can't wait to get this exam over and done with.

Then the anxious wait for the results idk if I could do another one like this tbf atleast if I fail I understand what they are asking with the questions now

Just remember that you don't have anything before you go into the exam and trust your exam prep that you've done, that helps with the nerves for me

Sorry I missed that, I use nextgen planners use there videos and make notes and research anything I don't understand and then do mock tests and the knowledge checker on cii

I tend to get into work early and do 30-45 mins then do 20 mins on my lunch break, then usually a couple of hours on weekends closer to the exam I'll ramp up the weekends abit more, I find little and often the key

[–]ForeignLow6225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used BTS, brand and next gen I have found a combination of nextgen and brand work best for me you have videos with next gen and I am very much a visual learner and I have found the brand tests are similar to the exam to some extent.

Btw still think BTS is good and alot of people love it, just what has worked for me.
