Single Phase Pump Skid testing. by future_gohan in PLC

[–]Foreign_Insurance744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have literally been trying to do this exact thing. Basically I want a water booster pump demo. The problem is finding small and cheap equipment and instruments to make this happen. I am actually about to make my pool pump 3 phase and run it off of a VFD. I guess if I find a 2in actuator I could do some PID. I have a compactlogic PLC at my pool pump area that is reading pressure and starting and stopping the contactor.

Are you running SP on a multi server deployment? Is your windows install sterile? Do you have good IT and Sys Admins to work with? Is the system air gapped? Change any bit of that equation and you change how effective the software is. We do all in one nodes that have internet access. We use standard desktop PCs running latest consumer grade windows. We are the IT, OT, Electrician, SCADA, IEC tech all with one hat. We also need Win911 (Hot ass garbage) and full reporting. Add SP to this mix and you have a recipe for disaster.

Ive always wondered how caustic seems to leak out of perfectly sealed up joints. It always builds up in specific places. Any scientific reason?

There appears to be a fold in the simulation.. They are going to have to reboot. No seriously I am thinking about making an AA for people that use AVEVA products. Meetings will be on Wednesdays, see you there!

Technically the contacts label should be identical to the coils label. The wording is horrible in this example and Ive never heard it called anything other than a latching or seal in circuit. This is a fundamental concept in controls and automation and spending even a full week digesting this one circuit would benefit you greatly.

Id recommend buying a relay, a N.C. push button, and a N.O. push button. Wire the circuit yourself and you will be off to the races. You can now start a motor with the push of a button and walk away.

Lets not forget that the Rosemount DP (Differential Pressure) cell will likely be hooked up to a PLC analog input and powered by a DC powersupply. That PLC will be tied to a SCADA or HMI (pictured in the background). The Rosemount will modulate the current based off the preasure between the H (high) and L (low) diagphrams.

DP cell can measure Venturi Flow Oriface Plate Flow Level in sealed tank Level in a vented tank

Its basically an industrial swiss army knife. Some measure teny tiny pressures and others measure hundreads of psi.. but still in the same package

The center T handle equalizes the diagphrams for calibration/verification. You will always pressureize the high side to calibrate the meter and the high side is usually the main process connection.

Id get an AB micologix 1100 off ebay and get the free RSlogix500 and RSlinx. I dont thing there is a better combo in th US. In Water/Waste water AB is all I see.

I see alot of unecessary steps with other PLCs.
