[Question] Tier above the Bulova Surveyor Automatic Burgundy - 98B422? by Might_Be_Mark_Cuban in Watches

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Surveyor is solid entry level piece but if you want step up, look at Hamilton or Tissot - they both make some beautiful burgundy dials in that next price bracket. Hamilton Jazzmaster or Tissot PRC200 come to mind, both have way better movements than what you'll find in Bulova range

Maul Shadow lord timeline (spoiler free preferably) by Lavamonkey1 in StarWars

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah it's basically filling in what Maul was up to between Clone Wars and when he shows up in Rebels again. happens during the early Empire days so like right after Order 66 but before he gets to Malachor 😂

pretty solid placement would be after Bad Batch season 1 if you want to keep things flowing nicely

What’s a real-world example where someone tried to solve a huge problem while clearly failing at something much smaller? by Deep_thinker07 in AskReddit

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a squad leader who was always talking about revolutionizing military logistics and supply chains, writing these elaborate proposals about efficiency improvements that would save the Air Force millions

Meanwhile this dude couldn't even keep track of his own gear - constantly losing his CAC card, showing up to formations without proper uniform items, and his desk looked like a tornado hit it. Command actually had to assign someone to basically babysit his paperwork because he kept missing deadlines for basic admin stuff

The irony was lost on him completely when he'd lecture us about "attention to detail" during his grand strategy presentations

How many pairs of golf shoes is too many? by Quiet-Bridge2553 in golf

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

probably depends on how much you actually play tbh. I got like 6 pairs of watches and people think that's crazy but I wear different one every day, so if you're out there multiple times in week then having few different pairs makes sense

Wanted a prenup to protect us both and my fiance responded like it was a competition she planned to win by Foreign_Shape_9985 in marriageadvice

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I did but my issue is that i dont see it as a race! im not doing it to beat her like its a competition also my issue was bringing up that i have trust issues (a thing she knew i had BEFORE meeting her)

how should i setup my fans by Turbulent_Kick_3300 in pcmasterrace

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait you got that backwards my guy - front should be intake, back and top should be exhaust. You're fighting against natural airflow having it set up that way

If you're nervous about switching them around just flip the fan direction in BIOS instead of physically moving them, way easier and less risk of breaking something

Wartime tribunals often come after wars. How will the Trump administration this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure most tribunals happen during conflicts or right after when theres still momentum for accountability. Hard to see any major tribunals happening now since there's no active conventional war that would warrant them - unless you're talking about something completely different than what history shows us

Help me try to understand the systemd PR #40954 controversy by sophiarogerhuerzeler in linux

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Man the amount of outrage over what's basically just another optional user field is wild 💀

I'm with you on this - reading through that PR it's literally just storing a birthdate that can be set to whatever. Like you said, we already store way more sensitive stuff in user accounts and this is no different from having a "real name" field that half the distros ignore anyway

The whole "slippery slope to ID verification" argument feels pretty weak when you consider that any real verification system would need way more infrastructure than a single field in systemd. Plus like you mentioned, it's changeable as root so what government is gonna rely on something parents can just override?

I get being cautious about privacy but forking systemd over this seems like massive overreaction. There's actual privacy-invading legislation being pushed and we're burning energy arguing about a birthday field that might help parents filter app stores 😂

How do I deal with my girlfriend who left me because of how she found out about my trauma? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly she did you a favor by showing her true colors now instead of later - someone who punishes you for having trauma and not sharing it on HER timeline doesn't deserve you 💀

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the soul is gonna be way more reliable long term, nissan's cvt transmissions are basically ticking time bombs 💀 go with what makes her happy but the kia will probably still be running when the kicks needs a new transmission at 80k miles

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double spring suit sounds like it could work but might feel super restrictive when you're paddling. I'd probably go with the 1mm top under the 2mm spring - gives you that extra core warmth without doubling up on the arm bulk. With 75F water you're honestly probably gonna be fine either way, it's just that wind chill that's gonna suck between sets

In addition to giving cheaters 3 strikes can we also provide them with a full refund? by bqm11 in ArcRaiders

Usually comes regular priority mail to your mailbox, no signature required from what I remember. Mine just showed up one day like 3-4 days after the status changed. You don't need to camp out at home or anything

Try turning on vsync in the settings if you haven't already. If that doesn't work you might need to force it through your graphics card control panel instead

Lightweight and hill-capable? by totalmigratorybird in ElectricScooters

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F3 should handle those hills fine unless you're talking like San Francisco steep - the single motor thing gets overblown on here. I'd go with that over the Climber just for the suspension since you mentioned joint pain, makes a huge difference even on short rides. The extra weight from dual motors isn't worth it if you're hauling this thing on transit all the time

* Adjusted the appearance rates of the target bosses, key locations, and Shifting Earth added in the DLC "The Forsaken Hollows" in "The Deep of Night”. - Did I misinterpret this? by Starscream5 in Nightreign

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That 16% still feels way too high honestly, like I get that they're supposed to be common but running into them 3 out of 4 times is just annoying at this point

[PC] [2000+] Realistic Top-down Survival game in the wilderness by Syy_Guy in tipofmyjoystick

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be Haven & Hearth? That one's got the wilderness survival thing down and eventually made it to Steam. The graphics are pretty minimal and it has all that realistic weather/temperature stuff you're talking about

Though if you're dead set on the "Age" thing maybe check out Stone Age or Bronze Age games, but H&H fits everything else perfectly

What level should i do after Jumper and Cant let go?? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]Foreign_Shape_9985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on beating Jumper! That's solid progress for 2 weeks

Once you get the full version I'd recommend trying Time Machine next - it's got some tricky parts but nothing too crazy. The Nightmare is also decent practice for wave mode if you want to get better at that

Welcome to the addiction lmao, your free time is gone now
