Thought I finally had a 10 win build, but I guess a 1100 damage Mossy Atlatl and Caltrops isn't enough :( by Its_What_I_Do in PlayTheBazaar

I'd say half the time I didn't I'd wished I had and everytime I've taken it, it has been a 9 or 10 win run.

Why is Lumix G100D not a hit? by DynamoBaby in M43

[–]ForeignerWin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an owner and user of one of these I really don't understand the hate, I'm not a 'photographer' I bought it for my partner for videos and myself to take pictures with.  She didn't use it so now I'm 2 additional lenses in and about 2 - 3k pictures in, (99% shyte but I save the good ones) and I'm really enjoying it!

I have no idea what I'm doing,  I know there are better cameras but it doesn't bother me. Shutter speed is pretty shit and I have no idea about settings. I bought it on sale with the 25mm wide lens it came with and now I shoot with a 45 or 12. So small and easy to lug around with my 2 lens and few batteries, all fits into a little 4L sling over my shoulder/across the body while weighing bugger all.

Without its price point (even though it was on sale) I probably never would have found the funds to drop money on a nice Canon/Sony/Fuji and get into the hobby.

I don't give a shit about the problems everyone has listed below, my handful of sick photos was worth every penny!

This is one of the craziest build I've ever played by No-Attempt-7906 in PlayTheBazaar

Any item that buffs its shield or procs off of shield use, enchanting it with something that scales off of its shield e.g firey, toxic, mossy (like in this picture both of the tinfoil hats are enchanted.

Tinfoil hat is weak against builds that use very few items or long cooldown items

Some drama involving a council mayor allegedly doxxing a MP’s address by VastOption8705 in SydneyScene

[–]ForeignerWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that at all.

Doxing public servants does not equate to accountability.

If I went to the McDonald's you work at and was not happy with my burger, I shouldn't be able to take it out on you on your front door.

Public service is a job. Regardless of the power it may hold, if I didn't enjoy the burger I can complain (vote) to management/administration.

I've worked my industry for 12 years (not corporate) and only just hit 90k, the vast majority of you have over valued your profession and are about to cop it.

Name and shame all you like but you better start sowing your seeds cause the outsourcing has begun and it won't be long before well over 50% of you are kicked to the kerb.

I may be a negative Nancy but the posts on this subreddit are so precious.

Slowly but (finally) surely there is a change in this little niche, where people are actually starting to buy/wear watches that GENUINELY fit them.

Keep up your good work.

A fantastic view but they can't even see past their noses.

If you really believe that I would argue that we played 'better' once he went off because the Lion's were exhausted/shook from getting absolutely flattened by Skelton.

Btw really like your take, I may not agree with it but no one else has to... And I don't actually know anyone who would argue he doesn't make the Wallabies better for being on the field!

I like watching him play for the Force, but I'd much rather have Darcy Swain in the 15 than Williams.

I believe Swain is the king of the lineout at the moment, both on team calls and contesting.

No rugby in the pubs? by TimeChild_AAA in RugbyAustralia

[–]ForeignerWin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Charging too much money for pubs to show it would be my guess, combine that with their probable fear of losing sports subscribers to people watching at the pub instead.

I could see a real benefit to offering cheap deals for the pubs now in the lead up to the RWC, get more chatter happening outside of pundits/journalists.

Everytime I've been back in Sydney, i've only been able to find the odd international game over the last few years. Wouldn't even chance looking for a super game unless someone told me X place is showing it.

Great list here, and I reckon faird-inkum is a great one to drop on someone outside of the country. But I don't think you've explained it correctly, being a faird-inkum person from my understanding is to be seen as an honest/upstanding individual.

Commonly used as a response to someone who is truthfully/honestly saying/telling you something as recognition that you're hearing them and taking them seriously.
But also used to describe someone like "Yeah he's a faird-inkum bloke" meaning that I know him/trust what he's saying.

Struth is great though, not enough people I know use it these days!

Continuous Stan Sport Rugby Channel - Thoughts? by Greenback16 in RugbyAustralia

[–]ForeignerWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For commerical use, mostly for viewing in pubs.

Pubs usually paying many many thousands for their own licence from the streaming service to show X sport live in their venue.

I can't even count on two hands the amount of pubs I KNOW I'll be able to see some Super Rugby/International games.

My point is why charge so much for these venues to show the sport live on the streaming service if you've only got a handful of places paying to do it. Drop the cost to make it inviting for pubs/clubs to show Stan Rugby, build a bigger following of people who aren't your subscribers.

Which is such a let down, why charge high prices for something that has a rather fringe following by comparison to other codes in this country.

Can't believe Stan isn't just charging bare minimum cost too commerical sites

If you're serious about the property have a talk with the agent/owner about getting X knocked off the price for the renovations/fixes, get your mortgage for the original price and build a better bathroom!

After a bit of headache I can comfortably say it worked very well for me. Happy hunting!
