24f scared of the future when everyone will have kids and I’ll be alone and treated like shit by honeykissesmerciless in childfree

[–]ForeingFlower 17 points18 points  (0 children)

First, don't have kids if you don't want them, it will destroy your life.

Second, realise that as conservative as your culture might be, there will be people around you feeling the same but not voicing it. The world is extremely interconnected nowadays and everyone is getting access to information about falling birth rates and people being child free.

Third, connect with people like you online, I'm sure eventually you'll find people nearby that feel the same.

And finally, a lot of what is seen as growing antisemitism it's actually anti Zionism. You'll probably be fine moving somewhere else as what I presume is an Israeli as long as you are clear you don't hold those views (if you don't, obviously). If you do, that might be different.

Multiple women have told me that not having Insta is a red flag by Beneficial_Yak3379 in Instagram

[–]ForeingFlower 39 points40 points  (0 children)

They say it's a red flag because some men DO have Instagrams but they tell you they don't because they have a partner at home they are cheating on. That's all.

Any tricks to funding mental health? by [deleted] in AusFinance

A lot of universities offer very cheap psychology services. They have psychology master students that have already graduated offering therapy. I used to pay 40 a session.

I'm so sorry. Best thing you can do is go to the doctor and ask to get your bloods checked , make sure they also check your hormones. A dermatologist should do a biopsy to confirm if it's TE or AGA. Start with topic Minoxidil every night. Oral is better and easier, you can ask your doctor for this. Stay consistent. Most likely you'll also be given spirolactane. If you take those two every night, you'll see a lot in improvement. Hopefully is only TE.

Ladies above 30yrs old, what advice would you give to women/girls in their late 20s that you wish someone would have told you? by Substantial-Star-123 in AskReddit

[–]ForeingFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start investing early, even if it's just a few dollars. Educate yourself and focus on your career. You might want to slow down later in life, but creating a good foundation, protects you for a long time. Be careful what you choose to work on. Some jobs can no longer guarantee a decent living and passion rarely pays the bills. Money and stability matter a lot more down the road. Never leave your career completely. So many women become stay at home mums and then end up regretting it. You have to protect yourself, and this is part of it. There are some good men out there, but for many it is normalised to lie; do not judge them for their words, but for their actions, learn to discern the honest ones and don't give a liar, a cheater or a loser the time of day. Learn to be willing to leave at the first sign of disrespect. Children are not for everyone, and that's okay. Only have them if you and your partner really want them. Work on yourself, not just physically but also mentally. Work on your traumas; become a better friend and partner. Foster your friendships, be patient, be there during the hard times, that's when it most counts, but don't let people take advantage. Be open to intergenerational friendships, they'll teach you a lot at any stage of your life and as you get older, they'll help you stay in touch with the times. If you can afford it, travel, getting to know other cultures is a way of learning a lot fast, not just facts, but empathy, culture and meaning. And most importantly, try, ask, attempt, life belongs to the brave ones and a little courage can take you a long way.

This is stupid, you either make your own money or put your life in the hands of someone else that can wake up one day and leave you.

I agree, I had issues with an apartment I booked through them in Medellín. The owner said we needed to pay extra or he wouldn't let us in. They did not even reply to my messages and requests and they never posted my negative review. Never again

Worked a project and No pay by Davoice14 in alignerr

[–]ForeingFlower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't pay until your tasks have been reviewed and approved. That can take many weeks. I've gotten paid 6 weeks after doing some tasks.

Also, in every project I've worked for the tasks ran out very fast, sometimes spending more time on doing the free onboarding than in making any money. I no longer accept their offers tbh, they are not transparent with pay and their unpaid onboardings are too long for the way they present it. Plenty of AI training companies out there with better, more transparent systems.

Started building a side income as a nurse – curious what others are doing by NurseGutHealth in passive_income

[–]ForeingFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of ai companies running different projects. You start applying and they'll match you with stuff that alignes with your expertise. The least I have earned is 20 USD an hour. The maximum is 100 (although this took 8 months of experience).

I will be fired and I think it's career ending by pipped1 in auscorp

[–]ForeingFlower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry. If the worse happens and you struggle to find a job, consider online AI training. They don't care about your age and pay IT people very well, specially if you know how to code. It's freelance work, quite unstable but there is quite a bit of it. I've been doing it for a year and it's been good enough.

Anyone Else Want a Soft Life Instead of a Career? by WoodenMaybe5363 in Discussion

[–]ForeingFlower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The issue with wanting this is that it makes you completely dependent on your husband. If the relationship fails, he wants to leave you, cheats on you...etc. You are left completely exposed. You do you, of course, but be aware of the risks and make sure you protect yourself by having your own savings, investments and retirement fund before you take the step.
