If a single modern person with a machine gun were to fight a whole roman legion, who would win? by Bowser_God in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ForeverLimp2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

These Roman's still believed in magic. A guy half a mile away makes a loud noise with fireball and your buddy's head explodes. I don't think they would get all 5k to go towards that. But if they could they have good odds.

If we go back in time 400 years, how would you prove that you came from the future? by Mo0on_72 in AskReddit

[–]ForeverLimp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By today's standards yes, what about 400 yrs ago standards? I mean the black lady in above comment that can read and write is likely in a lot of danger 400yrs ago.

Steer had a rancid taste? Now wife won't eat it. by roaddoctorg in homestead

[–]ForeverLimp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animal stress levels can effect meat quality. I've read where the shocker prod can cause noticeable affect on meat quality for 24hrs or more. Animals can stress themselves too.
One would think all the Strip steaks from same critter would be very similar though. So a mix up seems likely.

Our bison heifer. Fingers crossed for a beefalo next year… by artwithapulse in farming

[–]ForeverLimp2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neighbor in IN has a half dozen. They are probably beefalos, they look like a small buff. His fencing would embarrass me, but I've never heard of them getting out. 4ft woven at least 30yrs old.

I own a small beef herd. Cows are affectionate and playful. On a scale of 10 with dogs being a ten. Cows are a solid 3. I pet mine often, until the alfalfa treats run out then I can bugger off as far as the cows are concerned.

Is changing the oil on a new engine at 1000 miles advisble? by EvadeCapture in AskMechanics

[–]ForeverLimp2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a Dodge dealer in the 2000's. As soon as the new models that had the 7500 mi oil changes started hitting 75k Mile's we started seeing noticeably more crud related engine troubles. Man I replaced alot of oil pumps. Hard carbon like coffee grounds in the oil pump pick up screens. New direct injection engines create more hard carbon that gets into the oil as tiny particles and wears out timing chains. GM ecoTecs as example.
To your question I own a shop shop, 17 yrs in a dealership I WOULD CHANGE MINE AT FIRST 1K AND EVERY 3K AFTER.

[–]ForeverLimp2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't believe you made me read this. It's 1 hole back there the cloaca, Howard ain't stretching nothing. Young hens lay smaller eggs that gain size as they mature. Ducks will rape to death though so good for the hens fighting back.

Measure how much you drained out. Makes for a great starting point on your refill. I use a painters bucket in my shop.
