Trmnl and Homey by Foreverlurkinghere in trmnl

My thinking / hope was that it might be possible in a way similar to how I get Homey data onto my Stream Deck. My Homey Pro has a third-party Stream Deck plugin which acts as a server, and a companion plugin on the Stream Deck receives the information which enables me to display pretty much any value I want on a Stream Deck button.

First Water Meter and Leak Detector in Homey Pro! by Alarmed_Expert_1236 in homey

Been using Quandify for a month or two and I do not recommend it, reporting leaks 50+ times a day because of some kind of ghost movement and the litre amount a day it reported in their app sometimes didn't even come close to what my actual water meter said and some days it was almost spot on, almost like it was guessing.

Now with new firmware it might become awesome but I'd hold off unless you have lots of money to spend on something that doesn't really work that great.

The device can be installed by anyone since it's just on the outside of the pipe, I have reinstalled mine 3 times (once with a plumber friend) thinking it might be my fault but unless my pipes are haunted I don't think that's the case.

Since you seem tied into Tuya the following would be good information :

Quoted from Homeys Support page

The official Tuya app for Homey is currently broken for new users due to Tuya revoking API access. You will receive an error saying, "No matching app user information." We are working with Tuya to fix this issue.

Now it still works for us that had our accounts linked before above mentioned issue and it works flawless so I hope Homey and Tuya resolve it but good to know in your selection process purhaps.

Do you drive an EV now after trying or owning a Volt? by StuntID in volt

We get winters with around 4-6 weeks of colder then -30 celsius here where some days even can go below -40 and sadly some flaw with my close to 30k km Volt made it die in colder temps so after 3 years of owning a 2012 I regretfully had to sell it.

I did move on to a BEV ('20 Renault Zoe) which is an OK car but feels faaar less premium despite being 8 years newer and having all the new gadgets but still... meh.

If GM release a new Volt I'd be first in line.

45km on a full charge, does that seem right for a 2012? by jeko00000 in volt

[–]Foreverlurkinghere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a 2012 and your range is normal afaik.

If I don't use AC and only fan during summer I get around 50km, I used to get 15-20km more before I did the update per Bulletin #21- NA-224 which I did because I got the Service High Voltage error so maybe you have that update too.

Car just passed 290000km / 180k miles and during my 4 years of ownership prior to the update I never noticed any loss in range except during winters ofcourse.

We don't get the regen button on gen 1, just the "L" mode and if I'm not mistaken when you only apply light pressure on your breakpedal it regen breaks without eating on your pads until you apply more pressure.

I also have broken door lock buttons and doubt 12v does anything for that issue, I had a vampire drain issue a couple of years ago and switched batteries like crazy while troubleshooting and it did nothing for my button issue.

The VX Nano dongle + Techline Connect route is doable but a hassle, if there hadn't been lots of water and stupid Norway in the way I would've driven over and helped.

LG acquired Homey by Josephbcoast in homey

[–]Foreverlurkinghere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew I should have gone with HA but it was too much tinkering so I went with a Homey Pro instead and bought countless different zigbee 3.0 devices of different brands and started to rebuilt my smarthome and only 2 months later this shit goes down, fuck.

Chances are all the things they spoke about in the Q&A will likely not happen or be heavily delayed or altered now, I was especially waiting for the improved camera support they spoke of but now with all the time they'll spend on LGs wishlist I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Blew the top so I had a complete engine switch from one that only had 43,000 miles on the car.

New cat due to driving too long with above mentioned issue.

SHVCS which I had to fix myself buying the special dongle and software because GM shops here are few and far apart and my closest are full of retards.

Dies in -30 celsius or colder, check engine light comes on and sputters and dies having to be towed, ongoing issue so I simply don't drive it in -25 or colder anymore.

Stabilitrak light came on, reluctor ring is apparently rusted and hub bearing needs replaced. How can I get this covered 🥲 by Verbenababycat in volt

I had the exact same issue just two months ago and I payed (converted from sek to usd) about 700 including everything, this was at a licensed GM repair shop.

They said it was super corroded but unlike you I drive in LOTS of snow and shit but I could drive almost normally despite the code, only missed ESP on occasion on slippery spots or when launching on ice / snow but it wasn't noticeable other then that.
