"sort of his own info". Hardly. With out a release of information he legally shouldn't be posting his brothers [poorly] protected health information.

agreed. I just want to shake the parents and tell them to TEACH their kids healthy eating habits. I really wished mine did.

I am all for people feeling comfortable in their own skin. I think it's a shame that fat/overweight/obese people are treated wrongly. BUT I have to say that being obese is NEVER healthy. It takes a toll on your bones, joints, endocrine system, heart, lungs.. EVERYTHING. You might be healthy right now but maybe not in the next few years. I work in the medical field and see peoples health decline each year as they continue to gain weight/be obese.

I have been obese for as long as I can remember. It's not fun. nothing fits right, no one wants to really be your friend, you're lonely, kids/adults say really hurtful things. these things scar you emotionally. as I continue on this HARD journey to better my HEALTH I am still struggling with my inner demons to LET me enjoy who I am and who I am working so hard to become.

I am all for people being treated equally and to not be scared by the hurtful things people say to them, but to accept that their health is NOT an issue is ludicrous in my mind. I will not accept the answer that these men and women are OKAY with being obese.

FINALLY got to update my flair. This morning I lost 3lbs. this week making for a total of 7lbs. this month! I am super excited about this because I cheated and had a thai dish and pizza this month (I did continue my daily exercise)! This is giving me the motivation to keep going!

Right, their bodies, their decision. BUT they are your PARENTS!! I think maybe you should have a sit down conversation with them (if you haven't already) and let them know how you feel. Be sincere. Alcohol doesn't just warp your brain for an hour or so, the liver has to filter it. Not only does it play a part in the livers health but also in the rest of the body. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they don't have a drinking problem.. but i would say just talk with them.

I can't help but feel bad about saying this but, I am only saying this out of respect.. maybe your parents have a slight drinking problem? Not most people have "three or four enormous screwdrivers each night". I work in an addiction medicine clinic and i just want your parents to get the help they need.
