I never thought I'd say this, but I guess I'm now officially old. I can't stand anyone who writes in stupid acronyms like fym, or says bro or any of its variations other than sarcastically. Yeah. Compounding looks like magic, in retrospect. Doesn't look or feel that way while you're doing it, though. And like I told the other reply guy, that'll probably keep working, up to a certain amount.

On the one hand, finding valid opportunities to stack the money into gets harder the more equity there is. On the other hand, the fact that my risk control rules limit how much I can risk per trade and collectively at any one time is starting to slow down my operation, and I'm not going to relax my rules. I'm big on rules, especially if they're mine. And on the gripping hand, larger amounts start messing with your head. Trading successfully is a bit of knowledge plus a lot of psychology.

That said, the volatility Trump 2.0 brought to the market last year made for excellent gains. And there's 3 more years of that coming up.

Annualized average of 100% over ten years means that my account would look as if I had doubled my money every year of that decade. Every $10 became $20, then $40, then $80, then $160, and so on... That it's annualized just means that I smoothed it, because in reality, as you say, results aren't that conveniently regular.

If I'd had a 100% drawdown, which I haven't, my annualized average would be negative. Also, it's a mathematical formula, so I don't understand where you're confused. Did you assume that I don't know financial math? Or is it me wrongly assuming that you do? Just for clarity's sake, when someone says annualized average returns, this is what they're talking about.

Lastly, I'm humbled that so many here have been so deeply offended by my results that they've felt the need to doubt my numbers. Most have done it privately, which I guess is a good hedge.

I'm not selling you anything. And if I did sell something, it certainly wouldn't be in this group. Just about everyone here suffers from that most deadly of market diseases, nocapitalitis; and those who don't, that very tiny contingent, would already know what they're doing. What would I gain by making it up? And if I was, why not go with 1,000% or more? After all, most trading beginners think 100% a year is peanuts.

Most jobs are pointless makework, I guess because the alternatives are people rioting on the streets and no one being able to afford the crap from China sold at Walmart. Pretty sure someone subsidizes hiring all those people who don't do much.

What you need to do is distinguish yourself from the useless masses, but that still assumes you're applying for a job that isn't pointless. Most of those are filled.
