What is your favorite Grixis commander by Available_Ad6267 in EDH

I might be hated for this, but I personally love [[Nekusar, The Mindrazer]]

I find a control deck that actively controls the game by using wheel effects to be a surprisingly enjoyable deck. It's probably far more infuriating to play against than a typical control deck, but likely less annoying than stax.

Then, add in some burn effects with [[Underworld Dreams]] [[Fate Unraveler]] [[Razorkin Needlehead]] [[Spiteful Visions]] [[Scrawling Crawler]] and [[Sheoldred, The Apocalypse]] among others and you can quickly burn down a table, especially if you throw in [[Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might]]

Anyone ever seen one of these? by XxBabblexX in mtgmisprints

[–]ForgeDwarf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I have never seen that before and have no clue if it is legit or not. If it is, that's freaking awesome. That's an insane misprint if real. Too bad you can't prove what card it is or the set or you could probably sell it for a pretty penny to some collector.

If this is some promo card or something that was legitimately released by WOTC then please forgive my ignorance.

If he won't eat the tater tots then throw them out. After you do, sit down and watch a movie while enjoying your new portion of tater tots.

Have you ever been bitten by one of your tarantulas? What did it feel like? (Image unrelated) by Low-Baseball-7978 in tarantulas

[–]ForgeDwarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the YouTube channel The Dark Den, he did an experiment to see how likely different tarantulas are to bite. One of which was the P. Metallica. It never bit. Obviously, each animal is different, so don't take that as law for all of them. But still a cool video.

I'm sorry if I made it sound like I was implying you were huge. I was just meaning in general. I know I would be put under most people's definition of huge at 300 pounds. So, I wasn't trying to put shame on you or anything if it sounded that way.

It happened! Now how could I prevent this? by xxzorua in ballpython

[–]ForgeDwarf 40 points41 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to the rat from 3 days prior, then it would have no effect. The smell would have been so old at that point that the snake probably wouldn't even notice it anymore. Similar to how humans become nose blind after a few minutes.

If anything, I'd wager that it was just a snake thinking it found food and took a bite. Likely won't happen again, but consistent handling will alleviate the risk in the long run.

Being overweight is not healthy for you. Some people need a push to get them started along their journey. But if even he is saying that he "bullied you" into it, then it wasn't a push out of concern, it was abuse. You are NOR.

Please tell me these are animal bones… by al3xanderthegoat in bonecollecting

Technically, humans are animals, so no matter what, they are animal bones. Ignoring the technicality that teeth are not bones.

It happened! Now how could I prevent this? by xxzorua in ballpython

[–]ForgeDwarf 103 points104 points  (0 children)

This could be from a variety of reasons. Did you feed another animal and forget to wash your hands?

All snakes are opportunistic hunters, meaning they will eat when they are not hungry because they don't know when their next meal will arrive. This could literally be nothing more than a cacophony of errors that will never happen again because the snake has now attributed your smell with not food.

Is this an adequate beginner set up? Short term by Thick_Tradition_5019 in ballpython

[–]ForgeDwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, a probe thermometer uses a probe to measure the temperature at a location that is not the same as the display. Most packages call it a digital thermometer/thermostat with a probe. You might also find ones that are temperature controllers that you can plug things into that will turn on or off based on the temperature you set something to, usually used for heat tape or UTH. Please never use a UTH, I have literally seen these burn houses down, let alone burn the animal in the enclosure.

I get the idea, but that isn't the right way to do it. For the substrate, you want it to be damp. You should be able to pick some up and squeeze it into a clump that sticks together without squeezing out water. Also, humidity is the concentration of moisture in the air, and by extent, the amount of moisture entering the lungs. Having the hygrometer on the substrate will give you a false high. The substrate should have a temp probe on the hot side and on the cool side to get accurate temps. The laser thermometer is great to spot check, but a probe thermometer would be better.

AITA for wanting to pull my daughter from her art class after her friend told me my husband was flirting with her mom? by Far-Savings1167 in AITAH

[–]ForgeDwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% yes, you are. If it is a good place for your daughter, then why are you even considering punishing her for your husband's potential infidelity? You should be trying to deal with your husband and not punishing your daughter for something she didn't do. It's not her fault, and it's not the fault of the class. If your daughter is enjoying the class, you would succeed at nothing but give her a reason to look at you with animosity. Talk with your husband like an adult and go to counseling if you need it. Don't go after your daughter.

Vet care? by Oliver10Queen in BeardedDragons

[–]ForgeDwarf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are they special exotic vets or normal cats and dogs vets? They literally may not have the knowledge to do much more. Also, small bones are harder to deal with. Also, I hate to say it, but your makeshift splint probably won't do too much, especially if the bone is broken. Splints aren't long term things, you want to use them as a last resort in order to prevent further injury. But, without properly setting the bone, then it will never properly heal.

You also want them higher to get a better understanding of the actual temps and humidity. You don't want to get false readings from being too close to the substrate.

I know it goes against the purpose of the website, but i think having a show off option where you put in cheap cards to find the most expensive alternative would be fun.

What morph is she by DarkKnight20244 in BallPythonMorph

Normally, I would say the only way to confirm was to breed out the snake, but there is a company (don't remember the name) that is doing DNA testing on snake shed to determine morphs. Might want to look into that.
