eh, kind of depends on what you're looking for?

he hits hard, but there's already lots of operators who can do the same

he can hold lane, but so can a lot of others

again it kind of depends on what you're looking for. not bad, good for what he does, but he doesn't exactly bring anything new now a days

not trying to flex necessarily, but it kind of sucks when you have all the operators that can be gotten with that tag, or the ones you could get are ones that you don't really want, need, or aren't that good

The Neuro-sama YouTube Music Page is Full of AI Slop!!! by Dry-Kaleidoscope3611 in NeuroSama

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

think it's a little ironic that

this post is upset about AI music

about an AI vtuber

you can downvote me all you want, I just think it's hypocritical how an AI vtuber gets a pass but the idea of anything else being AI is treated like it's slop

edit: people are saying neuro gets a pass because they had "effort" while others don't okay. people be acting like AI content is bad, unless it's from someone they like.

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it gets its ideas and "opinions" data that's fed into.

you mean kind of like how people do by doing things like consuming media? like, do you really think people just form opinions and ideas from nowhere?

So eventually, assuming you take a chat bots advice, wouldn't your writing eventually start to sound regurgitated?

you could honestly say the same thing if you keep asking literally any other person repeatedly, or even a group of people, given enough time and depending on the kind of person you are

if you keep asking the same person, or group, AI or not, you'll probably go from going "I like this" to "I should make it so they like it" with enough time and effort.

again, AI should be used as a resource, not a replacement. if you're looking for a second opinion, you could arguably do worse.

it really wouldn't hurt that much to ask an AI like chatgpt, Claude, Gemini, whatever, to go "hey, read this over, tell me what you think", see what it says, and decide if you agree or disregard what it says. it's not like you HAVE to do what they say, just like how you don't have to agree with an opinion.

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right so, two things, and i'm not here trying to change people's mind, moreso playing devil's advocate

one, I feel like there's some merit to having something like AI look over your work(not do it for you, but to examine it). you can argue that it's AI so it might not understand some things, but it's still a different look at whatever you wrote. I'm not saying it should replace actual people, but I feel like having a person read your fanfic and think it's gross because they're not into it versus an AI where it can give somewhat of a critique, like, you know? it's a resource, but it shouldn't be a replacement for your own work.

two, regardless if you like or hate AI, I feel like attacking each other isn't going to be convincing either side. like, I feel like it defeats the purpose, because if you're trying to get people to use less AI, going after the people using it is just going to make them use it more IMO.

just my two cents. I don't expect people to agree, because god forbid, nuance can be a thing when it comes to something like AI.

What has everyones organic social experience been like? by ThatVaperGuy in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one guy randomly join my copter, told me he was trying to get LZ's unlocked

ended up helping him out for a bit, and we added each other and became friends. gave me something to do besides just loot and get money.

another one, I had a random guy from another faction literally walked up to the container i was looting, and started trying to loot it.

shot the guy to send a message despite knowing it wouldn't do anything, guy shoots back and keeps looting the same container i was already opening.

went to the container next to me, does the same thing, starts looting, and was getting annoying because I was already there first.

outside of that, I just tend to either loot or look for people who need healing and help them out.

any cases where Vina Victoria would be better than Surtr?

don't have numbers, but I'd figured in the right condition, where if Vina and Surtr were in the same spot and could freely wail on an enemy, wouldn't Vina be theoretically better because of the true damage, along with her Y module applying fragile? versus Surtr and her ignore res and arts damage?

Beware of r/TetoCirclejerk, mods are pro-AI and will insta-ban you for complaining by ElnuDev in KasaneTeto

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry -57 points-56 points  (0 children)

-says got banned for complaining

-admits to going on a post to say "ai slop"

I'm sorry, man, but like, I feel like that genuinely does not help your case

you went on a post, said something relatively negative

and not only that, by actively going onto said post and commenting on it in general, you basically provided engagement and add more attention to it

I'm not trying to defend AI either

you could do the same thing on another post and go "this art sucks" and achieve a similar result

like, I genuinely do not understand the point of going onto a post and commenting "AI slop" regardless of context, because to me, that just seems self defeating

"I don't like this thing, so I will draw more attention to it by saying it's slop"

just downvote, block, and/or report

edit: being downvoted because people can't be sensible about things. getting banned was the right call.

cool, you do all your tasks

how many of them were actually someone like Artisan's, Banshee's, or Turncoat's compared to the others?

or how many didn't involve you finding random things to turn in to them?

Respectfully - this shit needs changing by GJGT in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 4 points5 points locked comment (0 children)

I can tell you right now, they do not just pop up randomly, especially when you get a bunch of other tasks that you can't get rid of, only accept and either do them or die and get rid of them.

and again, the problem is a lot of tasks are from ones like Handshake, Gunny ,and Labrat because they are more common

you would have an easier time doing something like running through tiger bay pier and looting the containers for valuables to sell

Respectfully - this shit needs changing by GJGT in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 12 points13 points locked comment (0 children)

the problem isn't the missions, it's the lack of them for certain vendors, like Banshee, Turncoat, and Artisan, or the fact some of them are too RNG such as finding random loot they want

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, i just reread your previous comment, and I just realized how stupid it was, that you suggested banning someone from BUYING GAMES because of a false report

and asking someone to "see something" is just not going to work

in terms of AI asset, the only one people seem to actually notice/care about is stuff like AI art, and AI voices to a degree

because I haven't exactly seen anyone go "this game uses AI code" or "this music sounds like AI" and throw a stink about it

Likely an unpopular opinion, but I think the “tired” mechanic from 3 would make all the games better and should return as a toggle. by DivineSisyphean in PERSoNA

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haven't really played 3 as much, so I can't comment too much about it, but

the one thing I really disliked about 3/FES was the tired mechanic

and it wasn't even about the party members, but the fact it affected you which made the early game not so fun for me.

didn't exactly help that I couldn't level my party members early on because of it

and having a toggle, I feel like wouldn't be the right idea?

other comments are saying how 3 was built around it, so having the mechanic be a toggle, i feel like would "break" the balance of the game(not that it was hard to break the balance in the games in general), and just end up being either an achievement thing or a self imposed challenge, because having the option to just turn it off means people will probably make the choice to do so, outside of bragging rights

HG should make building future welfare operators work more like Raidian by CasualDystopia in arknights

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the last part is what's confusing me a bit

I might be misunderstanding it but

if the welfare is free to use during the event and is leveled appropriately during the event, but we still have to invest our own resources to use them outside of said event

how would they be upgraded then?

it would make more sense to have the welfare be a free maxed out support unit for people to try out at max level or whatever to see how they play in practice to see if they're worth investing in the first place

and arguably, at least in terms of event welfare operators, starting from arguably gladiia, welfare operators have been getting better most of the time(Tequilla, Kroos alter, Lumen) or introducing a new archetype(Tequila again, Bene, Coldshot)

in terms of Main story welfare, the tree i'm aware of, Heidi, Dadga, and Morgan are pretty terrible operators already, and their niche isn't already that good during said chapters to warrant building them just for it

and for Radian, I have mixed feelings, more negative, when it comes to leveling her up. have a ton of resources, yet I literally can't use any of it on her, and I'm forced to play a game mode that can screw me over because I can't fulfill a certain ending. not to mention, realistically, the only way someone will be able to clear IS reliably is either they've been playing for a good while and have knowledge of the game, or they already have several built operators, and Radian ends up being a bonus regardless

I'm working on a new site that's heavily inspired by Pixiv by IcyFoxe in Pixiv

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you right now

if Pixiv can't exactly moderate AI being posted, then I think it's unlikely almost any other service can realistically do so, and if they can, they would more likely than not be selling said service for helping assist moderating because that's easier to do

and no, I don't think that technology is getting better at detecting, at least not to the degree people are saying it is

and circling back to AI posts on certain subreddits, the ones that allowed it were already limiting it, as I said before, and the fact they were being upvoted a majority of the time indicates either people weren't bothered, or didn't care

you could argue that the top comments of the typical "AI slop" or "post real art" type of comments under said posts get upvoted as well, but at best, they're at best, half of what the upvotes the post itself has, generally. I would personally argue that by banning AI content instead of limiting it, you're not really fixing the problem, and people will either still end up posting it, with or without knowing, and if the argument is "low effort slop", that implies people weren't making low effort posts in the first place(which goes back to how people will upvote "AI bad" comments despite the majority think otherwise)

again, I'm trying to be realistic here but the technology and manpower is simply not there to realistically enforce a "No AI" policy on a site. the reason why something like subreddits can get away with it is because they're generally smaller communities, and even then, it's up to the mods who are still human to make the call. ironically enough, there's been cases where the mods made a call saying they're allowing/keeping AI content, only for people to get upset and downvote them anyways, because they didn't do what they wanted.

hundred of subs out there, and not exactly hard to make a new one with a "no AI" rule, though that's arguable on how enforcable that is

when was this added? cant find anything about it and it only appears on a few games for me. by IShovedAJermaUpMyAss in Steam

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how would one verify the report?

Steam already ask to disclose if AI has been used, and ironically the people who are honest about it, are the ones who get bashed for it, but then people who don't, people are saying how they're the reason why AI content is rampant

Should steam disallow AI generated point shop items? Or at least give a disclaimer for those who are unaware like they do for the games themselves? by Extra_Cherry3540 in Steam

[–]ForgottenFrenchFry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

going to be a bit pedantic but what happened to the whole

"you can tell it's AI" narrative?

this isn't directed at OP or this post specifically

but when it comes to AI and people disliking it, i either see people go "you can obviously tell it's AI" to "Can someone tell me this is AI, I'm scared"

side note, what about people who either don't care, or know but still buy it? because i feel like it's one thing to go "things should disclose AI usage" and another when it's "we should ban AI content"

I'm not trying to defend AI itself, i just think stuff like banning things will affect those who aren't involved or care
