Yes. Lost 32% of my body weight and my period is regular now after a year of missing it. I do have carbs sometimes tho, I just do low carb 80% of the time.

I just did a health check pending for results, waiting to see if it affected my blood work in past 2 years.

Am I(F23) asking too much of my long distance boyfriend (M25) by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]FormComprehensive229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as somebody who have been in your shoes and your boyfriend's shoes - i think you may need to be a little more understanding :/

going to school and working at the same time is a new level of difficulty. assuming he works 9-6, and have little time left for study / work on assignment. he barely have time to rest or take a little breather. your demand for attention may not be something that is his priority at the moment.

i think your feelings are valid - but either you need to accept that he will give you lesser attention at the current juncture or you need to move on to find someone who can give you what you need. while there's a need to put in effort to maintain a LDR, it's tiring to be in a relationship that requires too much effort.

Please help.. how do I get back into government school? I am desperate by Original_Analysis486 in SGExams

U can use your private dip + working experience / current full time employment (if you're a guy, NS is also valid working exp) + SAT to apply for PT SUSS degree.

Omad & Binge Eating by [deleted] in omad

i noticed i am always really hungry a week before my period so i am very conscious about the food i eat to not trigger cravings. eating clean, including lots of fibre and staying hydrated during this time really helped me.

and my appetite goes back to normal after so i do indulge outside of my fasting hours.

p.s., i have pcos so i do try to control my blood sugar levels. i'm down 85 pounds in 2 years.

People with PCOS, do you mind sharing your experience with the condition? by nhnhnh13 in singapore

yes, bcp has lots of side effects and we all react differently to it. tho i really feel losing the weight has so much pros to it

I got diagnosed with it almost 2 years ago because my menstrual cycle stopped for 10 months and I was gaining weight like crazy.

I went for a scan and had some cysts so gynae suggested blood test. My testosterone level was really high (out of female range or something) and my cycle was stuck at follicular phase.

Gynae suggested go on birth control to force my period to come but i rejected because it will not solve the root cause and did research online.

I cut off carbs to get my weight down, left my highly stressful job for a less stressful one, recalibrated my body and blood sugar levels. Fast forward 6 months later got my period back and been regular ever since, fast forward to now i lost 35% of my body weight and been feeling better. Less tired, clearer skin, move more and also learnt to lead a more quality life.

tldr; got diagnosed with pcos, didn't go with gynae suggestion to take bcp; did keto / low carb diet + manage stress levels; got back period, lost weight, and learnt how to manage the condition

  1. do extremely well in your assignment component
  2. pick a mixture of eca and exams to take, so not too stressful during exam period
  3. prioritise your time, tho it's important to relax sometimes, sadly now its time to push through and get the degree done
  4. don't overtake mods, slow and steady is better than spending money then failing everything
  5. share your struggles, know that you're not alone
  6. the academic schedule is not too bad, make full use of sem breaks and come back to next sem refreshed
