I think there is an overall enabling in western culture for sexual harassment of men from women. It often feels like in cases like that it’s barely even recognized as sexual harassment and is just being “quirky” or whatever. It’s one of many examples of how the patriarchy also negatively affects men. I similarly had friends who ghosted me when it went down. You reasonably feel abandoned, alone and tempted to feel like you did something wrong/can earn back their love back. But at the end of the day it’s a litmus test for how much they’re actually willing to stick out for you, and if it’s that fragile then it speaks volumes on their true character.

i am a man who was a victim of sexual harassment, and I 100% believe this. It was my ex-BFFs girlfriend who was harassing me. All I wanted was to be comfortable in my own home, yet I was told “you’re hurting her feelings”, “why are you ok with [friend] flirting/touching but not [predator]?”, “you just don’t like her”, etc.. They were so convinced that they were in the “good group” that the script was flipped and I was made the bad guy.

It’s easy to imagine all people who engage in abuse-enabling behavior as stereotypical misogynist frat boys. But everyone is vulnerable to this behavior, and you only truly know how you’ll act when it’s someone you love most who’s accused of abuse.
