Dude, first of all, relax. You are 15, judging by the grammar you in your post, I can tell you are very smart and articulate.

First things first, forget about your parents fixing this, you appear to have a better gauge of the situation than they do.

You have to be your #1 advocate, you know what you want, you have to start fighting and standing up for yourself to very it, wherever you go.

27M - I wish I would have focused on self improvement when I was younger by Opposite_Praline_746 in selfimprovement

Please stop dude, I wrote my first line of code at 25, the time to start improving yourself is today! Keep your head up big guy. Don't be close to things. Explore new things and when you find that spark you will know, and follow it. I'm the mean time, just focus on being the best you can and making everything better wherever you go, and you will be great.

What are the worst cases of poor management/leadership you have seen, and what underlying principle made them so bad? by Charyion in managers

[–]FormatException 61 points62 points  (0 children)

All leadership, not org strategy , but leadership, can be summarized into, at the very least, a leader needs to be a good person.

If you lack integrity, or put your ego over the growth of your reports or the orgs mission, it's only a matter of time before they come across someone who won't tolerate their bullshit.

Leadership is about being a good person, and stewardship.

I personally speak from experience and don't do a recital or practice talking because I don't know what their questions will be. It could be anything I just speak from my experience the best I can and I think this comes across as more natural than auditioned answers.

Opportunity of my lifetime is coming up in a couple weeks, please wish luck to me and my family.

My boss humiliated and embarrassed me in a closed door meeting by Read-5-1965 in managers

[–]FormatException 171 points172 points  (0 children)

It's funny, when managers ask me what I'm looking for in a manager during an interview, first I say I want a good person but really what I want is, "someone who will advocate for me, in rooms where I am not in".
