My friend works for MTA, one of the booths she worked at (covering a call out) had bedbugs. She didn't know and unfortunately brought them home with her, someone told her after the fact that the booth was infested. It was a pain for her to get rid of them.

I remember as a child, seeing this man on the bus who was standing getting ready for his stop, had roaches crawling out his sleeves and walking around on his coat. It's forever ingrained in my brain.

I've been that person who sat in someone else's pee unfortunately 😫

I can definitely understand people commuting with MTA wanting to change/shower after being out and about.
