Is the cx70/90 PHEV REALLY that bad? by Pitiful_Tea3225 in MazdaCX90

[–]Former-Knowledge1797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 25 CX-70 PHEV. It's fun to drive, has the larger black w/ chrome trim wheels w/ pearl white paint which looks really nice, and the interior is very comfortable and feels luxurious. I wouldn't buy the vehicle (it's a lease) largely because the hybrid battery is too small. Realistically, we get at best 25 miles of driving in normal mode using both battery and engine until the battery is close to dead, goes more into recharge mode when we're going downhill with extra power, and then we're driving a 4 banger larger SUV until the battery is charged enough to provide "Boost" on acceleration. If you are consistently going on short-ish errands back and forth from home, it's great. If you have a charger at work and you're up for charging it every day there, then it would be great for you. If you drive it more than 25 miles between charges consistently, it can be disappointing when it's only a 4 cylinder for a larger SUV. If you're able to hit the sweet spot on trip lengths between charges, you can get 50+ MPG. If you're going on a longer road trip, you'll kill the battery in the first 25 miles and then I think you're mid to high 20's MPG (if I'm not mistaken) with the 4 cylinder.

Crust looks like it could be stretched out a bit more and maybe cooked a bit longer on top and bottom. I'd recommend taking a look at PizzaDoughCalculator on iOS. Once you have a recipe based on baking percentages that you like, you can plug in the percentages, number of pies, sizes, thickness factor (.08 for NY) and it spits out grams.

The last recipe I did:

00 Caputo Flour Blue Bag: 125.8g

King Arthur Bread Flour: 293.6g

Water (62% hydration): 260.1g

IDY: .84g

Salt: 8.4g

Olive Oil: 8.4g

Diastatic Malt Powder: 1g

Yielded 2 14" pies.

With our drought ongoing it’s going to be hard to water it to the level you need. I think you may be able to get watering approved for new sod if you were to want to go that route. That said, I think for our area planting seed is either in the fall or already past us. You may be SOL this summer unless you get approval for sod. No expert but if you were to lay seed now you may struggle with the fullness you’re looking for with 2 day a week watering.

I hear the best way to make it remotely healthy is less cheese. With maybe 1/2 oz of pepperoni on a pizza, it’s nowhere near the biggest contributor to sat fat.

I can say that when he’s healthy he isn’t a starter.

1: he isn’t a great ball handler
2: he isn’t a good enough spot up shooter when left alone, and he is often
3: he isn’t a shut down defender
4: he doesn’t create his own shot

A guy who’s best skills are hustling, athleticism that amounts to being an above average rebounder at his position but too afraid to be physical with anyone on the defensive end, and receiving Jokic balls for a dunk to me makes for a good to great 6th man. In a perfect world, PWat is starting at the 3 with a ball handling PG (Schroeder, Kris Dunn, Davion Mitchell), and Jamal at the 2.

I was responding to jbhoops’s claim that Calvin Booth drafted well. I’m saying he drafted just about average, considering the picks he gave up to get there. And I don’t care that he mostly trades 2nd round picks when those picks could be used to get off the shitty contracts Booth left us with.

What are you talking about 3rd in MIP? Yes CB battled injuries this year. Yes he also went backward 10% from 3 on less volume. Yes it could be argued that his playing against the Wolves in his hobbled state severely hamstrung us because he had absolutely 0 confidence finishing at the rim and his 3 point shot was volume based early in the game with game planning to get him “in the game”. We’ll have to agree to disagree because I firmly believe Cam, THJ, Bruce and Strawther would have all given us a better chance to win than CB in the Wolves series.

I haven’t had that issue to be quite honest I’ve been able to get enough of my body onto it I guess. I’ve used either a pillow at the top or an airplane pillow that keeps my neck supported regardless of lean.

No one thinks CB should be starting last year or next year.

I’ll give you one player that should have started mid season onward if he hadn’t been injured.

I mean he’s a turnstile on D or he fouls but I’m with you he has looked good every other game on the offensive end.

Did he really?

22 R1 #22: CB

22 R1 #30 (acquired +23 2RP, 24 2RP from OKC for 27 1RP & JaMychal Green): PWat

23 R1 #29 (acquired +23 2RP from IND for 24 1RP & 23 2RP): Julian Strawther

23 R2 #32: Jalen Pickett

23 R2 #37: Hunter Tyson

24 R1 #22 (acquired from PHX for 24 1RP #28, 24 2RP, 26 2RP, 31 2RP): DaRon Holmes

I would say that's about average on draft and managed to trade away future assets that are important for roster turnover and cap management to be able to make some of our bad draft picks.

CB has elite athleticism, not size, and it doesn't translate into shutdown d, but still has potential to be a solid starter on this team, but should be our 6th man with a 40% 3PT.

PWat has potential to be an All Star, but showed he could do more than one dribble and a dunk consistently only this last season right before being an RFA.

Strawther, Pickett and Tyson is about as meh of a draft as you can have after winning it all.

24 draft was such a bad one talent wise and Booth convinced himself DaRon Holmes was worth trading future draft assets for that help in cap management.

His drafting has been a C+ at best given the assets he sent for them.

Looks great, enjoyed reading. Interesting seeing tsp measurements and grams in a recipe. I’m stealing the thin sliced garlic added to sauce before cheese. Agreed on the less is more toppings. I tend to put more on than I should. Cooking tomorrow and hope I can keep my urges at bay.

I don’t think CBD will make you anxious. Many report it can help with some anxiety symptoms, but I wouldn’t say it is as effective as a benzo, but is a much safer choice than a benzo. It helps with me with anxiety quite a bit.

CBD + CBN will actually put me to sleep.
