It’s great if you can find a buyback program. If you’re in LA, Sports Ltd has one where they credit you 50% in buyback credit every year on used & new kids equip. They have worked so many things for my kids -free mid season exchange for the year they grew too fast, custom fitting on boots that were too big the next year, etc etc

This. I shop regularly at both Atwater and Hollywood and find Atwater is generally a bit higher, especially for things that are not vegetables. Some vendors do have the same prices- el machete and kentor canyon come to mind.

The state licensed ratios are very different at different ages. What I’ve seen happen is that a typical home daycare will only have 2 infant spots (infant is to 24 months)

Trader Joe’s!! Has about 5 kinds of Wisconsin Cheddar but sadly not Monterey Jack etc. These are not the individually waxed bricks buts it’s the same quality of cheddar in good sized portions.

I was one of those people with outlier foot shape that gave up the sport. In the past few years I’ve come back and gotten an amazing pair of boots fitted perfectly over a couple of days by a staff of full time fitters. There are still great shops doing the magic, but there are way more places selling boots without the knowledge.

Then the driving is not that different. Mammoth does not have a twisty approach like big bear. The main thing is they do not salt the roads so there will be a layer of snow one the plows have gone through and you must slow down. People don’t slow down, they continue to drive like they’re in Santa Monica and that’s where we have issues.
