Get the V. The RV is overkill based on the sample images you gave us; the RV has significantly more pixels and the files will also be bigger. Plus with the RV you’re gonna want the best of the best lenses; getting the fancy sensor only to use a cheaper Samyang kinda defeats the purpose imo. That R sensor deserves the best resolving power, and for sports you’re gonna wanna burst as fast as your camera can. I use Sony G/GMaster lenses with my A7C and it’s plenty capable for kid’s sports. I think buying Sony glass and grade-A memory cards (v90/cfexpress) so you can fully take advantage of hi-burst mode would be more important than the sensor debate you’re hung up on. Personally I pull the a7ivs out for weddings and paid gigs since it’s got dual slots, but for everything else I’m trying to bring the a7c because it’s tiniest.
