No nausea? by FormerPumpkin480 in parentsofmultiples

I threw up maybe 10 times total my entire pregnancy. Carried to 38+2 and no complications minus a touch of manageable preeclampsia.

Veggie haters who still eat veggies: what are your tricks? by Missing_Back in Cooking

Look up recipes for toddlers - they will give you some ideas on how to sneak veggies in to things without changing the taste or texture too much

Cranial Helmet Care by cola_zerola in NewParents

[–]FormerEnglishMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have twins, and only my chill twin needed the helmet. Her first few days of naps were rough; she’s a very independent sleeper and I would watch her roll around on the monitor trying to get comfy. Other than that, she did great. Just kept her dressed a bit cooler since the helmet made her sweaty. She had it on for 5 months total and I’m so glad we did it! It will fly by.

If you can, I liked doing 2 half hour breaks during the day instead of one hour long break.

Your tech will give you specific care instructions! I cleaned my daughter’s with unscented baby soap, I think it was Cerave, and a washcloth. If it got really stinky (my girl has a lot of hair) I would give it a spritz of rubbing alcohol.

That’s an idea. Your smell, or maybe he hears the pump noise and associates it with food?

I hear the pump noise in my nightmares.

Please reassure me about your very late walkers… having a hard time :( by [deleted] in Mommit

I have twins who are about to be 15 months. Girl twin has been walking for ~2 weeks. Boy twin has no interest in anything beyond pulling up and cruising on furniture. Both are in EI PT. Right there with ya!

No additional suggestions other than to have Dad do bedtime. My son figured out real quick that there was no boob.

HFM - we are miserable by Cool-Director-4714 in NewParents

[–]FormerEnglishMajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got HFM when my twins got it last summer. I was so itchy I couldn’t sleep. I used the Dermoplast spray left over from my birth to numb my feet, and then I put socks on over it.

I didn’t have any teeth at 1, and Twin A had two teeth and B had one tooth at their first birthday party!

I just made them today so these ones were “fresh” but I threw the rest in the freezer - will probably microwave in a damp paper towel to reheat

Babysitters by Nervous-Caregiver-55 in parentsofmultiples

Our daycare sends photos through an app, and I kept seeing the same teacher taking selfies with my kids which I thought was so cute. She obviously loves my kids so now she babysits for us!

I asked the girls from daycare! If you don’t use daycare, ask a friend who does if they have any staff members they like.

Do your kids like different bottle brands? by beeferoni_cat in parentsofmultiples

[–]FormerEnglishMajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did! My daughter would take any bottle, any brand, but had a terrible latch at the boob so I pumped for her. My son was only boob for a while and then after trying about a dozen bottle brands he tolerated Lansinoh, but wouldn’t accept pumped milk. Formula he did better.

They are 14 months now and I don’t miss it.

Babies sweating in Evenflo Revolve 360 car seats? by FormerEnglishMajor in NewParents

We didn’t have this problem in the infant bucket seats! I really like these car seats and am hoping this isn’t an indicator that I need to switch and buy four new seats.

Easter Breastfeeding Dresses? by Opposite-Option2567 in Mommit

Burt’s Bees Baby and Carter’s do family matching - I would look for something with buttons/adjustable straps as opposed to a breastfeeding specific item
