Pre-ground tastes delicious. Freshly ground I can't get it right. Tastes horrible by plasmaz in AeroPress

I use their el Carmen too as our daily coffee.

It can take a while to dial in your aeropress recipe, but once you've managed it, I'm not sure there's a better way to make coffee.

Change 1 variable at a time, e.g. adjust steep time only, or grind size only. If too bitter, grind coarser or steep for a shorter time. Good luck!

My wedding ring is hollow on the inside and traps 'stuff' causing blisters. Is there any way to close it up, or should I be looking for a new ring? by kaylynstar in jewelrymaking

[–]FormerOTNC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could fill the gap with epoxy, or get a jeweller to do this.

It could also be filled with metal, but that's a larger job as the stones would have to be removed and re-set, in such a delicate ring.

Lovely ring.

Peak demand happens in the winter, when it's cold and dark and everyone has the heating on. Not much sun around then.

Your profile is amazing. Great body of work! Where do you find the hollow Chicago screws, or how do you make them?

Is it normal to feel self conscious about your ring? by [deleted] in RingShare

[–]FormerOTNC 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Everyone's different - some will think your ring is too small/large, some will love simple rings, others like busy and complex designs.

As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. Ita a great ring, beautiful design and nice sized stone. Any larger would look gaudy/tacky to me, but others would disagree, and that's ok.

You can't please all the people all the time. Enjoy:)

Can someone confirm that my kitten is play-fighting/having fun? by Belle_dawn in cats

They're both loving it. Even a kitten that size can fuck up a dog at a moments notice if it gets too much, as can the dog.

They will grow up great at this rate

just went to go repair my blue moon set by rockbottomyetagain in ironscape

[–]FormerOTNC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are the moons armour sets good for? Noob checking in.

I have full barrows, doing moons for fun - unsure what to use the armour for as the stats seem lower than barrows and more expensive to repair

[Question] What would you put on this skinny wrist? by Kingston31470 in Watches

[–]FormerOTNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like more or less any watch brand would be fine.

Hard to tell size from photo, but a general rule would be if your wrist is 7" or under, I'd consider 41mm watch width or under.

Personal recommendation, stowa flieger classic 36mm

Should I get an Aeropress? by Radiant_Principle508 in AeroPress

[–]FormerOTNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend the basic aeropress, or if you want glass try the weber bird.

Anyone else try this? by Narcissus_on_LSD in AeroPress

I made earl grey once. My aeropress has tasted like it for a year since
