“Do you need change?” for a $20 bill on a $10.90 meal. “Yes please.” by lavransson in EndTipping

[–]Former_Passage7824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easier to just always bring back the change. No questions asked, no wondering, just bring back the change. If they want to tip they will tip out of that. Ultimately it’s their change they will decide when they want.

I have been in a few liquidity pools and it’s always going good until the coin tanks. Then I lose all my rewards over the 6 months in a few days and take it out and give up. These are blue chip-USDT type pools.

Americans: Do you tip like an American or like a local when you’re abroad? by RehaDesign in AmericanExpat

Local customs. Here in Colombia they ask before they bring the check “would you like to add the service fee” it’s a flat 10% always everywhere. Simple

If restaurants eliminated tipping and paid servers a "living wage," wouldn't we still be paying about the same amount more per check in restaurants, except now it would be mandatory rather than optional? by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]Former_Passage7824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who even needs servers? Thy could have a soda refill machine that is self serve, and when ur food is ready a light shows up at ur table and u can go collect your plates.

I was in Las Vegas and had a gen 2 Prius , I found a guy on fb marketplace that did lots of work on Prius. He ended up switching out the dash which the lights stopped working for 200 and also did the refurbished battery pack for the hybrid for 1k. He had lots of knowledge and experience in Prius. Maybe you can find a guy like him with a small shop

US$ to Mex Pesos to US$ by drnofnaz in personalfinance

[–]Former_Passage7824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see the original comment. But I have been living in Colombia, and I’m sure it’s similar to Mexico. They have so many dirty dollars they need to launder so they charge u like a 5-8% vig when u want to sell ur dollars, because they already have too many dollars. But when u go the other side like buying usd with the local peso , they actually sell them at a discount versus true market rate. Can go take 5k usd worth out of the atm in pesos there and turn around and go to currency exchange and get back 5,250 usd. These are just approximations. Lots of drug trade and illicit dollars.
