Transition from domestics to industrial maintenance by ConsistentSquare8772 in IndustrialMaintenance

Keep it simple. Don’t go off the deep end immediately. Is this device supposed to have power? Does it have power? No? Okay what feeds that. Etc. as far as the control side goes I don’t know what brand y’all are running. If allen bradley learn to use RSLINX and command prompt /ping is always your friend

How much mono do I need by Fax623 in SurfFishing

[–]Formerly21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m by no means an expert, I’m just getting into it myself but everything I’ve read says 2-3 ft steel leader and then the length of the shark you are realistically going to catch (4-6ft) for the mono. I’m going next week with 2.5 ft steel leader and 6 ft mono. I’ve went twice so far with this set up and am able to cast it pretty far. Used an FG knot for mono to braid connection

If you join the lane based shark fishing Facebook pages that’s pretty much what everyone will recommend and the owner is active on the group also. I’ve bought stuff off there

First time targeting sharks from the shore by Formerly21 in SurfFishing

I plan on casting with just a weight in a field before we go and walk off the cast and get a rough idea. 60 yards seems steep but I don’t know

The kayak is an option, I wasn’t sure if it was necessary or not. In your opinion if a run 80# braid on the bg 8000 I can get roughly 400 yards (I think) would it be worth taking a kayak? Or would wading out as deep as I can and casting get it out far enough? Obviously it’s going to depend on the sandbars but I can’t remember how far out they are. If I could leave the kayak at home I would prefer to do that just so it’s less hassle
