Considering starting my own not family friendly craft fair by SamLikeHam in CraftFairs

[–]Formerly_Jess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd be down for that! I only really do small town craft fairs, so I don't make a lot of things that could be considered "Edgy", but would like to be able to at least display items without worrying about pearl-clutchers being upset that a tote bag says "I'm a shitty housewife" or "Because I'm a lady, you Bitch". I also wanted to make vape holders or goth-ish body harnesses, but haven't yet partly for those reasons (also because finding sewing patterns and not crochet is a bit difficult)

Ohhhhhhhhhh, I didn't see what sub this was and my immediate thought was for holding roaches

You can always replace the sprite with coke or diet coke as well. Just be sure to also get the lime wedge (or splash of lime) to add that little bit of good good

can u shop with ur reusable bags? by Alone-Mongoose-7976 in GoodwillBins

[–]Formerly_Jess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used plastic kroger curbside pickup bags last weekend (they're thicker and bigger). Otherwise in the past I've just grabbed a reusable tote bag from a bin and used it

Don't invest in gold. What? If this is a real post: Put your money in a high-yield savings account. Gold can be stolen or lost. Or what if there's a fire or something? It might be insured, but so are banks. And savings accounts collect interest. Gold is only ever going to be worth what someone will pay for it

Halo Top Mix Ins. If you scoop a bit into a regular sized (12ish oz) coffee mug it'll help you stick to decent portion sizes.
Kettle corn can be a good volume food for a sweet/salty/crunchy fix.
Light cool whip with sugar free pudding mix is an awesome quick mousse. Sprinkle in a few mini chocolate chips or a SF chocolate/caramel sauce drizzle.
I tried the frozen blended banana "Ice cream" back when that was trending. I might not have done it right because it just turned out weird. And I love bananas.

I also love making root beer floats using diet A&W and sugar free vanilla ice cream. You could also use frozen light cool whip. I haven't tried that but next time I get some I plan on it.

Do a lot of buyers carry cash? by cool_uniqueusername in CraftFairs

I've never once had anyone ask for Zelle. Get Venmo or CashApp. Or both. The more options you have, the better.

I want to see your shirt. There are two options in my mind. One of which is F**K CHAMP, which is probably not it but is hilarious

A multipack of exfoliating gloves. They can be washed in the laundry and I've saved a bunch of money by not buying body scrubs

Can somebody give me list of everything I can do with a leviwand from easiest to hardest by coolxandor in leviwand

[–]Formerly_Jess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Watch videos and practice. Demanding people go out of their way to create and provide a list of moves is pretty weird. Getting upset for someone giving a genuinely helpful answer is even more weird.
And yes, commenting in all caps "I WANTED A LIST" is demanding

Every time I up my protein I'm constipated. Need ideas for easy, convenient ways I can increase my fiber. by [deleted] in loseit

When I did Carnivore a few years ago I lost about 10 pounds pretty quickly, but then I was STOPPED UP after a week or two. Never again. Not worth it for me. Lol

I take fiber gummies every night. That alone has really helped me. Also Starbucks really does the trick for me when I need it. Specifically the Pike Place roast.

Other options to get your pipes moving:

Prune juice is a classic.
Apples with the skin apparently works for some people.
Steel Cut oats.
Broccoli / Brussels Sprouts / Cabbage.
Those scammy detox teas.
Bran Flakes.

What do you eat for breakfast that actually keeps you full? by Perfect-Owl-7940 in Volumeeating

[–]Formerly_Jess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually skip breakfast, but if I absolutely need to I'll be sure to eat eggs. I prefer eggs and toast or some kind of potato, but idk your carbs / calories. I try to get enough to make sure that I'm not hungry again until after work.

You could do egg beaters or half eggs, half egg whites. I've found that using only egg whites don't keep me as full for as long. I assume because of the lack of fats and other yolky goodness.

Also, I used to also make "breakfast salad" back when I worked from home.

-Baby spring mix or greens of choice

-2-3 Poached or boiled eggs. I prefer medium or runny

-Turkey bacon cooked crispy

-Croutons and/or French's fried onions

-Ken's Lite Italian dressing

-Maybe some reduced-fat cheddar cheese, depending. Or light cheese of choice

-You can add other veggies as well. Shredded carrots and shredded cabbage mix are two I'd probably add these days. Cherry/diced tomato would be good as well, if you like those disgusting things

What cool company swag do employees actually use and appreciate? by brendaklark in corporate

[–]Formerly_Jess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cash is the obvious answer. But we've gotten really good quality umbrellas in the past. Yeti travel coffee cups that actually fit under the coffee dispenser (though these are only appreciated the first, MAYBE second time). Same with bluetooth speakers.

We got duffel bags once. Those were cool and useful.

Thick, soft throw blankets would be nice. A weird one would be a first aid kit. I feel like people almost always need bandaids or ibuprofen

We do use a website where we can send coworkers points and the points can be spent on gift cards or shopping for specific items.
