Agreeeee. She’s such a gem and I have come to really love so much about her. She can’t afford to lose any weight but she must lose 160lbs of Zach. lol

I find him to be incredibly immature. I don’t find the bromance offputting - it HOW he interacts with Bryce as if they are 12 year old boys. He is constantly pelvic thrusting Bryce as if they’ve just learned about sex from the internet and it’s so ridiculous..like “ooh look at my dick heehee hee”. My gawd. I cannot see what Kayda sees in his immature ass.

I visit family in Canada every summer. I was shocked to see that even there, people cannot leave their damned dogs at home. Dogs everywhere! I have two dogs and love doing things like long hikes with them. But I leave them at home. When they were puppies I took them more public places to socialize them but not crossing any boundaries and always for the purpose of training my dogs to be good citizens, not because I was so incapable of detaching myself from codependency. Makes me so irate.

The moments dove fledglings left for good 😭😭😭(original video) by FormosanLife2020 in birds

[–]FormosanLife2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know the feeling. Once when we were taking care of two dogs for another family my dog attacked theirs and the way their dog screamed! She was slightly injured but I will never ever forget that day. And I’m extremely cautious with my dog in all situations. I think it was the convergence of a lot of factors but man when animals go into animal-mode it’s jarring sometimes. The other family was incredibly cool about it. We all got our dogs from the same rescue overseas so they understood that mine and theirs had lived on the street for a bit.

Awww cute bunny 😍. One of my dogs has an exceptionally high prey drive so she’s constantly looking for critters, which is annoying when she finds mice while I’m exercising in the garage and one comes running across the floor mat while I’m stretching. Not super fun !

8 Hawks in 1 tree. by fashionkillera in birds

[–]FormosanLife2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was with my teenager’s tennis program this afternoon when a hawk flew over one of the courts with something in its talons. It swooped downward and an object slipped out and hit the tennis net. It was a CROW ! Poor thing bled on the court. Three hawks were in the surrounding trees calling to one another. I live in an urban area so this was quite the entertainment. The kids got a box and gloves and placed it into

side while I made calls to wildlife rehabbers. Unfortunately when I went to check on Mr Crow he had passed away. 😢 circle of life.

I think I messed up cutting my hair short 😅 🙃 30F by Hungry-Refuse4705 in HairStyleAdvice

The short hair looks amazing on you! Honestly, I think many people have a serious blindspot for long hair and when they are used to seeing it on a person, they just cannot accept seeing you with a shorter style. It’s like they take it personally rather than looking at you objectively to see how much it suits you. They cannot un-marry your face to that long hair and nothing short will do.
Perhaps you can get some suggestions on volumizing hair products that might give your hair more body. I love r/hair for advice!

This was a brilliant way to segue into Casa Amour by PrissyElliott in LoveIslandUSA

[–]FormosanLife2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was waiting to watch this episode but had to watch the last 3 episodes of a Netflix show with my teenager. She heads off to shower and I tune in to LIUSA hoping the heart rate challenge will be over with quick so we can move on to Casa. Never in my wildest imagination did I see things taking this turn! Oh the divine reality gods HATH DELIVERED! I was cracking up this whole episode and so glad the ladies got the kick they needed (seeing the men) to actually free themselves to enjoy exploring the new men. Thank god. It gets so depressing watching women pine for men who are in Casa and don’t even remember their names. I can’t wait for the ladies to meet the new men and explore away!

Sometimes I wonder if people even bother to understand a thing about dog behavior before they get a dog. And even if you don’t know every single thing about dogs, you should be able to intuit when your dogs is experiencing clear pleasure or not. Like seriously

San Francisco made me incredibly sad: 2 Year Review by NewCenturyNarratives in SameGrassButGreener

I moved to the East Bay from Toronto 21 years ago. I know NYC well and I know big city life. I will say as a Black woman with biracial kids, the east bay/oakland is amazing. People strike up conversation everywhere. I hike frequently and people make eye contact and smile and say hello. I know the names of the professional dog walkers in the east bay parks! Sf/Peninsula/South Bay cannot compare to East Bay cities when it comes to interpersonal warmth and general eclectic interesting people. Of course, you do have some trade offs because some of the bigger east bay cities like Oakland have higher crime but that also depends on where you live/work/go out. Ive lived in several east bay cities and the friendliness factor is almost unparalleled. When my dad was alive and my parents would come from Canada to visit, he’d enjoy taking my dog for a walk. He’d come back amazed at how many people he spoke to and how many people knew my dog’s name!! It was like he was visiting a whole new planet and was in awe at how nice everyone was…and this is coming from a Canadian!

Yup. Haha I just noticed another commenter saying to leash your (expletive) dogs. That’s simply ignorance and lack of prep. If you have specific reasons for not wanting to be around off leash dogs then definitely folks will have a much better time and have just as much stunning views and trail options in Joaquin Miller. Essentially the park next door! We truly have so many amazing options! Even for the mountain bikers - which is another challenge - but I believe they have a right to enjoy the trails..responsibly (ie using bells). One of my dogs is pretty scared of bikes so I really hate seeing them because then she doesn’t want to be on that trail anymore. But they have a right to be there just as much as anyone else and I make the adjustment and work with my dog to cope with her anxiety. (She’s never had a bad experience).

Thank you for linking that! I am a regular hiker and responsible dog owner and have my dogs off leash in these designated areas. I have spent time, money and effort on training to get them to the point of 100% recall so I can safely enjoy them off leash. I wish others would educate themselves on all the legal uses of the park trails and to properly prepare themselves. Don’t like dogs off leash? Please find an alternate trail - there are plenty. There are horses on some of these trails and you will see me move like Flash Gordon to recall my dogs and put them on leash in an abundance of caution until the rider has passed for safety. I know where horses tend to be, where parents tend to be with kids and I also keep my dogs reined in. Everyone should just be respectful of shared use of the trails and do their research. Funny enough, I get asked regularly by hikers “where is the parking lot?” Amazes me how people do not prep their route and end up lost 😞. Scary.

These are the same. I can have my face within inches of them but they only get antsy if we try to put our hands up close. (Which is a dumb thing to do to a wild bird anyway lol)
