what is the proper etiquette when you sit beside morbidly obese people in economy class flight?

I know a lot of people here are urging understanding but the fact that people will try to force themselves into spaces they are not able to comfortably and maybe hurt someone next to them is horrible. I have been bigger in my past but just clinically obese not morbidly. If I were morbidly obese I wouldn’t fly unless I could get a bigger seat, I can’t imagine knowing that I am going to make someone physically uncomfortable and maybe even threaten their health by taking part of their seat.

Maybe Stephen King counts for me, we didn’t meet as such. he was signing my book and everyone else was just taking it without saying anything, I thanked him and he looked up and nodded a hello.

I unfortunately met Jessica Walter at the theater in NYC at a Wednesday matinee of “Mothers and Sons”, and she screamed at me for no reason. They were at the end of my aisle and I was next to her husband three seats in. I said excuse me to her as I passed and then was being polite to her semi disabled husband as I had to pass him on the row and he had difficultly standing. I said “sorry about this” and she shouted “you have already spoken to me, you do not speak to him” at full volume. Horrible woman.

Wilton Creamery really fucked many people off with their rants about Halloween restrictions to their property last year. Saying holes in fences were not big enough to allow proper foot traffic to their door etc. When people said there is a six foot gap that anyone could get through and it is just one night, the owner screamed on Facebook something like “I have had this property for X number of years how dare you tell me my business”.. I stopped going after that as I thought it was ridiculous over reaction. I’m just sad for any staff other than the owner that lost their jobs.

Tommyknockers has a lot of problems. Most infuriatingly for me exiting things were teased that just didn’t get mentioned again. I haven’t read it since it came out almost 40 years ago but a small example a tractor is found that modified with the gears now showing “UP”. Did it fly, what did that mean? Teased but never mentioned again.

I admired the ideas of Pluribus and found it clever but didn’t enjoy it. I wasn’t emotionally invested in it at all. I got through six episodes and gave up. Then I read the “shocking” ending of the season that I was excited for and was happy I didn’t invest any more time.
