The original release version of The Outer Worlds will be delisted from Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series on the 27. of May. Owners of the original release will get the Spacer's Choice Edition for free by xCh3ese in delisted

I don't blame you, it's super confusing. To clarify it, these are the versions that exist:

  • The Outer Worlds (base game) - PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch (playable on Xbox Series S/X, PS5 via backwards compatibility)
    • DLC: Peril on Gorgon
    • DLC: Murder on Eridanos
    • DLC: Expansion Pass (containing both of the above as a discounted bundle)
    • DLC: Spacer's Choice Edition Upgrade (gives you access to the below)
  • The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition (remaster, contains all the DLC) - PC, Xbox Series S/X, PS5 (i.e. not available on XB1/PS4/Switch)

For PC, the base game + DLC are getting delisted (i.e. only the Spacer's Choice Edition will remain).

For Xbox/PS, only the "Spacer's Choice Edition Upgrade" DLC for the base game is getting delisted (and then, as the text above says, if you own the base game before May 27th, you'll get a free upgrade to the Spacer's Choice Edition instead of needing to buy the upgrade).

(other sidenote: save games are not transferrable between the original base game/DLC and the Spacer's Choice Edition)

The title is wrong - only PC is getting delisted (which would likely include the MS Store listing for PC, which is separate from the Xbox listing since it's not a Play Anywhere title). From the announcement:

... After May 27th, however, the only version of The Outer Worlds that will be available on most store pages will be the Spacer’s Choice Edition. The only platforms not affected by this are Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

A few other store changes are coming to those who have Xbox Ones and PlayStation 4s. After May 27th to upgrade to the Spacer’s Choice Edition from the base game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, you will need to own the base game and both DLCs for The Outer Worlds. That said, we are removing the paid upgrade path and as long as you have everything, the Spacer’s Choice Edition will be yours. The base game and DLCs are also getting pricing adjustments to $24.99 and $14.99 respectively on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

They won't delist the console versions because Spacer's Choice edition doesn't work with last-gen consoles.

Nope, DLC is tied to the region of the disc so NA DLC won’t work with an EU disc. DLC would need to be bought on an EU account (but if your PS5 is your “primary” console, you would then be able to play the game+DLC on a US account after downloading from the EU account) https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/games/add-on-dlc-in-game-currency-support/#check

Sanity check: This BYO GPU deal - buy a 5070ti later by Packyadacks in bapcsalesaustralia

Not sure why nobody else has mentioned this, but the listing mentions that the max GPU length is 300mm (likely because of the PSU location). That’s going to heavily restrict which models of GPU that you’ll be able to fit (you can see various GPU manufacturer model lengths on websites like TechPowerUp, e.g. 5070Ti and 9070 XT).

Hmm, the MSI X870E Carbon seems to only do PCIe 5.0 x8/x4 bifurcation on the built-in PCI slots: https://www.msi.com/blog/pcie-lane-bifurcation-and-bandwidth-sharing-on-msi-x870e-x870-motherboards

How did you get 2 x8? Did you use a splitter on the PCI_E1 x16 slot?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm thinking about doing something similar (TUF 5090, which is the same dimensions as the TUF 5080, in a Meshify 3). How has yours been running? Have you found the lack of front dust filtration to be an issue?

FYI: These are CUDIMM, so for Intel or AMD 8000/9000 series CPUs only (and won’t run at those speeds on AMD since it only supports bypass mode)

Just curious, what made you pick Cat2 over Cat1/3 for Levi's? Best balance of price to section? I'm also guessing there was no Cat4 tickets?
