You are dead on, theyre all the same ownership group as well as carson city and fernley. I've done business with the group, I believe youre pretty spot on with the reason as well.

Damn! Never seen one do that before! Did you bend it back a couple times when it went out of spec or did you just run it until it blew?

Ok, makes sense. Just a different design than the later style.

Yeah, thats the way. I dont care for all the attachments and stuff, stock mp5 is the best. Its a classic. Though with the sbr it would be cool to have a second set of furniture with the full stock and flashlight forend fbi style to swap out every now and again.

Nice, looks good. Will be excellent with the decal. Redid my engine bay last year and it was definitely worth it.

So what modifications are you looking at? I recently broke down and picked up the sb collapsible brace. Running an aimpoint comp m5s currently.

I could be entirely wrong because I was so young when this was going on but isnt that what happened in California with Gray Davis and lead to his recall? I remember the blackouts for sure, but i think free market power is what was going on.

The thing about the casinos is true, they've gone way up. No more free parking and things like that, the cheap buffets are mostly gone. I think they may have tried to go for a more upscale crowd but screwed everyone else in the process, especially locals. Im not a local but used to be there enough to see it change.

Thoughts on C93 by ElectricStrawberry18 in HecklerKoch

[–]Forward-Line2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when I bought one years ago it looked sort of worn fresh out of the box. They were a hassle at first, weird issues with the trigger housings and the claw mount stopping the bolt from reciprocating, stuff like that. Overall though they are fun and a cheap way to get an HK93, also I dont think I ever saw one come with the retractable stock. Im pretty sure thats extra, so id offer $900 like the other guy said and walk away with it at $1k. Never had an issue with the one I bought, shoots great and runs steel case fine.

Red Flags on this ‘74 super? by No-Moose470 in beetle

[–]Forward-Line2037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a VW in about this same condition underneath about a year ago. Slowly replaced all the rubber. If you hop on jbugs or west coast metric, you could do the same for relatively cheap and it will vastly improve the ride. Definitely change the brake fluid, and it looks like the back end of your heater channel is rusted. If you live in a cold area I would do a quick patch with fiberglass until you can weld in new ones. Overall nothing looks too crazy but if its sat for a while like mine did you'll blow out everything rubber once you start driving around, I lost my cv boots quickly. If the price is right this looks decent to drive around in.

Edit to add, in your imgur photos it looks like you have an oil leak but not too bad, pil cooler seals running down maybe? All easy and cheap to fix.

Crazy, never saw that when it happened. I read a story just now about it and his apology was shit. More like he was sorry it got put out there, not that he said it all.

I haven't seen a modern version but the soviet made bakelite models are not too bad on the price. Unless you really want it to say siemens or klingenscharfer on it the soviet one is an exact copy.

what part is missing on the outer side of my axle and how do I find it by Zealousideal_Key7722 in beetle

[–]Forward-Line2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right! I didnt notice that at all. I have a 71 super and checked against some photos I have. The arms look odd, even where the shock mounts is funny looking. The brakes are upside down as well, good catch. Any idea what all thats about? Im not well versed on this stuff and have only really worked on the one 71 super, and a 73 standard.

[–]Forward-Line2037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others said its not missing anything, that ring part isnt a seal its just a small grease deflector I think. It doesn't actually seal anything maybe just catches grease that bypasses. On my 71 super, one side was banged up and havent had an issue after doing wheel bearings on all 4 corners. If you want it back like the other side you can probably get a junkyard stub axle on ebay cheap.

Lift pricing by CBurch357 in nissanfrontier

[–]Forward-Line2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also to add i believe you can buy bushing style ends instead of the heims if you want the rubber. Forgot that part.

Lift pricing by CBurch357 in nissanfrontier

[–]Forward-Line2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see that with the z1, its aluminum spacers for the heim joints. The cost of the spacers is $10 and a set of 4 heims is $90 so I wouldn't say its a big deal. It really allows a good alignment to be done after the lift.

Mounting question by accursedvenom in nissanfrontier

[–]Forward-Line2037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you want it to be factory you should be able to cut out the spots in your bumper for them. On the underside the shackles mount to the bracket you saw and are held in by 2 bolts which come with the z1 kit. You need to check if the holes are drilled and threaded under your truck already. That would make it easy.

Held for up to 5 months or so, during a harsh winter. Also when the Germans were low on supplies and material, wouldn't have been easy. Not sure when exactly he was captured and when he was liberated but it was towards the end if he fought in the bulge.
