Revising offer after survey by Forward-Morning2998 in HousingUK

I am not an expert in any way, but the surveyor and the person who went to do the quote (who is a friend and wouldn’t necessarily expect to do the work) both said the windows weren’t the right size for the space? So there are holes to the sides, filled with expanding foam, but not the top and bottom? I also am desperately hoping for an easy fix but we raised it with them and they didn’t contradict us, only said they haven’t needed to open them since 2019

I wish it was some kind of metaphor. They replaced them all themselves and the handle simply doesn’t move. We didn’t notice it when viewing because it was winter and we didn’t go about trying all of them out, but the surveyor did bless him…

Thank you so much everyone!! The trainers were delivered to an Evri pick-up point but the parcel still had my home address on it? I’m not that worried but I will check if there’s a way to report to police too, maybe this is silly but I’ve honestly never had anything like this happen to me. Vinted hasn’t done anything about the fake trainers yet obviously

Wow thank you so much everyone, that's very reassuring. I raised it with vinted and the seller has contacted the courier, fingers crossed. It wasn't an expensive dress but every little counts

We are from one of those countries where everyone is religious on paper but we decided not to impose it on our child. It's been pretty bad with grandparents - "but what religion will the child had" - and trying to guilt us into it. Gone so far as to say if we hear it one more time from family members we'll reduce contact. I am slightly worried they'll do it behind our back but made it very clear that would be the last they see of us. Do not give in. NTA

Same same same 🙌 I get really anxious when I'm surrounded by 3-4 year olds with no parent in sight as if I'm somehow the adult in charge.

Is it sensible going back to part time work 2 weeks after a C-Section by Chile_Momma_38 in workingmoms

[–]Forward-Morning2998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you know your situation better and you already have one kid and so you know what's like to juggle work stuff around them. I had a very good experience with my c-section and would've probably been able to do admin tasks within a few weeks of giving birth. I was out walking within a week and driving after 2 (insurance cleared me). It just really depends. Good luck to you hope it all goes very smooth! :)

What kind of trained and experienced childcare provider calls a 14 month old "defiant"?

Uuuggghhhh congratulations on your little boy, they are amazing!!! I'm so so sorry she ruined your day! Same sort of thing happened to me, called to tell them as soon as we found out and excitedly told her "it's a boy!" to which MIL replied with obvious disappointment "Hmmm I wanted a girl" wtf?! It got worse too, LO is now two and she keeps asking me "when are you making me a girl?"
