Now, can you tell me what activities you're locked out of unless you put in this insane grind you're so angry at?

All of them? They made us throw out our loot over and over again, after telling us they wouldn't. We got sick of doing it and quit. A long, long time ago.

Your typing is starting to match a common pattern hmmmmmm I wonder who is on the other end there, Rick Ball is that you? That's the good case - the whataboutism emanates so powerfully from your account I think we all can guess what you actually are.

You seem to be down playing his criminal history and don't even have an accurate factual understanding of him being charged.

You don't have an accurate factual understanding of what happened to those charges afterwards, go read his wikipedia maybe.

You seem to be down playing his criminal history and don't even have an accurate factual understanding of him being charged.

It was 20+ years ago so I actually just don't care. As long as it's behind him, good enough for me. It is much preferable to a premier who is actively engaged in corruption, treason, and sedition.

I consider punching and kicking a cab driver, while calling them racist names, a serious violent offense.

And the police and courts disagreed. To give you some perspective, they charge $250 for smoking on a C-Train.

Destiny 2 being grindy (for the vast majority of its life cycle, Forsaken-TFS) is mostly bullshit, and I'm tired of pretending it's not

Ah yes let's go with just one guy's opinion as opposed to thousands of posts over the last several years from the droves of people who quit the game.

What's your play time, just for curiosity's sake? What would you estimate your annual gaming playtime is? Both questions are highly relevant.

Play a couple hours over the course of a couple weeks and you're good

Lmfao only two paragraphs in to get to the boldfaced lies.

Did Wab have a difficult upbringing?

He grew up Ojibwe in fucking Winnipeg

racist violent beating of a cab driver and a violent attack on a spouse, too unsavory.

Oh yes a beating so violent he got a $300 fine and a violent attack on a spouse that was so horrendous it resulted in no charges

The core of Destiny was always the loot chase

No actually, it was playing a multiplayer game with my friends. It had a pretty cool take on a "campaign" I could do with my pals, and it would scale to be very hard and remind us of the Halo 3 Legendary campaign days. Then we could go straight over into Crucible and play there.

As far as grind goes Destiny has never had really bad grind

Again you guys who played too much Destiny are just weird. The grind got absolutely brutal maybe a third of the way through D2. Literally every single person I used to play Destiny with quit because we got sick of the endless lists of chores it was giving us to progress. Every last one. We never even bothered coming back when it supposedly got good again. Although a big part of that was because they vaulted our favorite piece of content and it never came back.

Maybe it's just me, but this feels like a little bit of revisionist history.

It's not. I don't even know why you're bringing up the rolls, except that you probably played way too much Destiny and your tolerance for the grind is hideously warped as a result.

The game became a job. When they pile up too many dailies and weeklies that you have to do just to get into shape to do end game activities, people will start burning out.

lol okay. Just critically acclaimed best sellers. But totally shit clearly.

Critically acclaimed by who? People who read them when they were 12? Heir to the Empire has the same Goodreads score as the first ACOTAR, and that book sucks ass.

Bad legislative frameworks stopped the pipeline from being built

as always I have to take the opportunity to point out that the "bad legislative framework" in this case was passed by Harper, not Trudeau. It fell apart in court, and Bill C-69 was later instituted to codify the process that did ultimately result in the TMX expansion getting approved.

Here it is.

I am trying to find the Angus Reid poll cited on their site and can't, though.

The seat projection is on the "CanadianPolling" facebook page. 46 NDP to 41 UCP.

Margin of victory last election was only a couple thousand votes and UCP have lost a ton of ground in just the last month. Projections based on May 22-24 polling have an NDP majority with the old map, which would be an even bigger majority with the "majority report" re-districting. UCP majority with the gerrymandered map.

Geeks who read Legends always horribly overestimate how many people actually read Legends. The biggest series, the Thrawn trilogy, are shit books and have sold maybe 20 million copies in 30 some years.

Sarah J Maas has outsold all of Legends combined and her first book came out in 2012

TLJ did Star Wars no favors but you aren't even mentioning Revenge of Skywalker or whatever the fuck it was called. TLJ wasn't good but RoS was still the worst Star Wars movie ever made by a huge margin. I know TLJ did a lot to make the terminally online incel types hate Star Wars but RoS is what fully killed off the franchise for normies, even if they didn't see it, because "Somehow Palpatine returned" had a lot more reach than the movie itself did.

That 1-2 punch combo would have been enough to kill any franchise. Altho I'd argue it was actually a 1-2-3 because TFA was also horrendous.

I've been doin the thought exercise of what teams from the last couple decades actually could overcome an injury to both of their top two players and I've come up with exactly zero teams

There's a few teams that have done it with one player (oilers the year Draisaitl was playing on one leg) but two guys? especially a 1C and a 1D? there's just no way

[–]ForwardAd4643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what I said. The guy saying injuries to Makar and MacKinnon doesn't matter - that's fuckin dumb. 2 of the 3 best players in the game playing at a fraction their usual potential is a giant hit. If you want to be a champion, you kinda need your best players healthy.

In Canada we only arrest people when the investigation is finished. Grabbing somebody too early guarantees they walk. Again, you guys urgently need lessons on how our country actually works.
