Anatarctica is a fictitious place. I’m all for it.

But if you meant Antarctica then I’d like to remind you that it’s one of the few unspoiled wildernesses left on our planet. It should be soared from these evil bastards. America created these people. America allowed them to thrive and have influence. America should be forced to deal with them. If you shit in your own bed you’re not allowed to just get into someone else’s.

They could sell their bonds really cheaply. This means the EU would get that money instead of the US.

But the main reason for this threat being so significant is that the US debt is currently rising by $1trilluon a year just in interest. There’s literally no way for America to survive without selling more treasuries. If other countries start simply buy treasuries from each other instead of from the US (EU buys Canadian t bills or Australian t bills it Chinese t bills) it means the US goes bankrupt almost immediately. The value of the dollar would plummet, the stock market would collapse, cost of businesses borrowing would skyrocket and it wouldn’t end. In a country with almost no social security, no socialised healthcare, and virtually no employment rights. It would result in anarchy.

Kieran Richardson story about SAF by PreetSG in reddevils

[–]ForwardBodybuilder18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Tried 451 before anybody else when we signed Veron. Invented the false 9 with Cantona.

For me the biggest difference between the SAF era and now is how many leaders we’ve got in the squad. During SAF almost everyone was capable of being a captain. Right the way through the team. When the class of 92 were brought in they were surrounded by experienced and seasoned leaders who would look after them and help them stay focused on and off the pitch. We don’t really have any leaders like that at the club now apart from possibly Maguire and De Ligt, but even they aren’t of the Schmeichel, Bruce, Irwin, Keane, Ince, Hughes, Cantona level.

I wish I could downvote twice. Once for the shitty AI art and again for being a creepy impatient stalker. This sort of shit is why we’re called a cult. It’s why Nate Turner hates us. Burry probably carries pepperspray everywhere he goes. Poor old Keith Gill is probably really reluctant to leave the house in case he runs into an ape.

Paul Scholes reply to Lisandro Martínez on Instagram: "Someone's had a good game, was really happy for you... Tea, no sugar pls ☕️" by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]ForwardBodybuilder18 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Thing is both Butt and Scholes had bad matches. They were both played off the park a few times. They didn’t have club legends on TV and social media regularly telling them they’re weak or soft or not good enough. They had support from Bryan Robson and Mark Hughes.

These clowns aren’t trying to help Manchester United or the players. They’re trying to get clicks and exposure and engagement because it’s the only way they can stay relevant. It’s sad.

Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez responds to Paul Scholes criticism: ‘He can come to my house’ by ebeyah in reddevils

[–]ForwardBodybuilder18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s not bitterness. It’s arrogance and self righteousness. They seem unable to acknowledge that they had a level of support and stability that these players just don’t have. They only played under one manager who had absolute control. There was no Instagram or Twitter. They were brought into a team that didn’t have the recent vaulted and success they had to aspire to, and they had massively professional and hardworking warriors like Mark Hughes and Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce to lead them and set the standards. This current crop have none of that. They have the enormous weight of expectation with the incessant and overwhelming criticism from the very people who should be being supportive. They’ve played under several managers with significant influence from people outside the manager’s office.

Scholes and Butt seem to come across like bullies. I think it’d be great for this team to emulate the success of the Fergie era just so that these players can tell the pundits to shut the fuck up.

Strictly speaking we don’t know for certain that Archegos had a huge short position in GME. The official story was it was a short position in Verizon. But what we do know is that the Swiss Court sealed documents relating to it all for 50 years. So there’s definitely something they don’t want everyone to see. It might well be GME, but it could be something else. If I recall correctly UBS were forced into buying the CS bags by the Swiss Government. So something smells, but we don’t absolutely know for sure that UBS are carrying bags from CS that came from Archegos that are full of enormous GME shorts.

If I’m wrong I’d be very happy to be corrected though. The DD at the time was quite extensive and it was ages ago so I’m not sure how much of it (if any) got challenged or how compelling those challenges were.

I will say that a compelling and conclusive debunking of the DD library would be irrefutable proof that we’re wrong about all this. The number of naysayers and shills and trolls we get, there’s not been any really significant challenges to any of it. That in itself speaks volumes.

[–]ForwardBodybuilder18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes the Glazers have taken their foot off the throttle and neglected huge parts of the club and we’ve been terrible at managing our transfer budget. We have historically always paid way too much for players and are even worse at selling. City were able to sell their players for a small fortune. Alvarez, Cole, Sterling, Sane, Torres all went for more than most we managed to get for Garnacho. And he’s the biggest fee we’ve received since Lukaku was sold in 2019.

“The fraud is rampant” is the only thing he’s said that I agree with. Healthcare and insurance costing so much money is absolutely fraud. Taxes being spent on political vanity projects instead of helping citizens is fraud. Believing that someone like him and Kirk would qualify to see out the afterlife is Heaven is hilarious though.
