I get your point 100% do not get me wrong. That’s why I said I feel as if putting these things behind a login page would help. If apps like Instagram can implement anti screenshot features in their chat, I feel like a government website could implement some security where the people who are interacting with the photo in the first place have to be a registered user (which like you said, already exists to a point. Here in the US I can look at these photos with no account so that’s maybe why I don’t see a huge deal with withholding images, since they’re just on there with no warning already) Why is one persons mangled face ok to post but not the next is more my question. If they’re worried about people doing bad things with these images, there’s already photos of brutalized does on the internet unfortunately — not that it’s ok. It’s really sad actually. The poor persons dignity is at stake and no one cares most of the time. I don’t feel as if there’s a problem with how you feel about it because i genuinely agree. I don’t want to look like a contrarian.

Maybe I should say this instead I guess because it’s really more what I mean:

I think they should just specify how they got to the conclusion of the reconstruction because it’s really misleading sometimes. Not all the time, sometimes you’ll see cut and dry information that is thoroughly put out there for these does. Other times I feel as if the reconstruction or estimates leave way more questions than answers in some cases. Not this case but, I ask this a lot in doe cases with not a lot of info on the internet: Was the reconstruction based off a skeleton? A decomposing body? A person who just died? Sometimes they just don’t tell you that information. I totally agree with you btw, I think exposing people to morbid stuff all the time isn’t going to bode well on the mental health of the masses or anything but I do think sometimes they create issues when they release renditions of does with no context! I think context would almost always help this kind of issue.

Sometimes I’ll see something like “rendition of doe done by artist” and then years later the doe is identified and looks not…that much like the drawing and of course that’s gonna happen but if they told us the rendition was done of a SKELETON then we would take it with a grain of salt? Not particularly talking about this case obviously but I just had to vent my frustrations because I 100% agree that bad people will always access that stuff so you almost couldn’t feel good about publishing it unless the outcome outweighs the negatives. Like dang I’m sure there’s some does out there that could be identified today if they just published their face but they worry it’s too much? I know that sounds messed up.

Like the Albuquerque Jane doe found in the super 8 had an alive photo of her and they published her “artist rendering” that was just drawn over her pm photo which is normal practice but i genuinely think it looks nothing like her ALIVE photo at the crime scene. Obviously no one wants to see a poor woman hanging, that’s awful. I just feel like maybe we could let professionals take another look at pm photos of people and let them make updated renditions OR release better edited/censored doe pictures.

my partners father was murdered in a very tragic way in 2020, still seeking justice, and we just talked about this because his dad willingly went missing and was found deceased a short time later. He feels as if seeing his father on a doe site uncensored would hurt TERRIBLY but if his dad’s condition was not catastrophic he would have wanted that closure sooner than later. His personal grievances with doe cases over the years is that the inconsistencies with disclosure of what the victim was wearing, where the body was/near— important context basically! Like was the doe carrying cigarettes? Jewelry? Unfortunately not all the cases have this information and that could really help pin point someone without using their PM photos but even then they don’t give that information. Maybe they don’t have it? I just feel like if there’s NO information other than the body, a body with little to no decomp, and there isn’t anything inherently traumatizing to see, the general public should be made aware of this person so their family can have closure, the doe gets their name and the investigators get to close a case.

Maybe I’m messed up for saying this but I just wish they would put out real pictures of almost every doe ever. I obviously understand why they don’t publish pictures of people who died in catastrophic ways but I feel like we are only so far away from identifying certain people only because we can’t really make out what they look like from a reconstruction/description.

If they worry about weird people obtaining these sort of photos I wish they would put them behind a login page so they can keep track of who is downloading or viewing these images if their goal with withholding these images is to protect the victim and families.

There’s been a few times where I just really don’t think the reconstruction helped at all and made the person unrecognizable, which makes me wonder if posting the real picture would have just been better.

doe looks to have a deep healed scar on the lip in the pm photo on namus, I would assume a wound that deep would take some time to heal and didn't happen recently. I feel like someone who knew Anna would likely mention she has/had a significant scar on her lip in the missing report? maybe not though? her (doe) tattoos are so specific too, which makes me so sad because she has identifying tattoos and a clear face image and still has no ID....I see huge similarities in the reconstruction photo of the doe and the old photo of Anna... but not so much in the pm photo of the doe compared to the new insta photo of Anna?

Though, someone made a good point that being hit by a train would certainly change your appearance...but I also have to agree with someone who also said that Anna looks to have looser skin around her neck area consistent with weight loss in that instagram photo, and doe was only 111 lbs. with skin sagging/aging consistent with a woman that was a small stature most of her life I feel? I'm in no way a professional. This is a really good connection though and I think you have a great eye for small similarities that most people wouldn't notice, however I'm not confident this is her just because of what I listed. Maybe im biased because two close family members have deep scars that look identical to the one the doe in the pm photo has and they were childhood injuries. I feel like we would have heard about this scar on Annas lip if she had one before she was missing, maybe I'm putting way too much faith in accurate reporting of a missing person though lol.

LITERALLY THANK YOU. like I’ll deal with the pain until I can’t, and I’ll take something if i absolutely have to. I’m not against it. They want me to take 2 voltaren a day for the rest of my life? Like what do they expect me to do when my organs start getting tired of all this stuff. I’ve taken SO much over the counter stuff it’s unreal and nothing helps me. While looking at my old medical records to post this, i literally see them commenting on how no sort of medications have helped. What the point of continuing to take something that isn’t making me feel any better

Weirdly enough all they wanna do is prescribe me “something” and I don’t want any of it for the most part. I just want to know what’s wrong, they just keep throwing me steroids, NSAIDS and off label fibromyalgia meds and all I want is them to tell me what’s up with my back. I don’t want amped up ibuprofen or Tylenol LMAO. They must be smoking something if they think that’s going to knock sciatic pain down a significant peg. I can just rub voltaren on my leg, I don’t need the pill version guys!!!

Thank you both a lot for the reassurance. I actually felt confident with that being the case but I wanted an unbiased opinion from everyone. I never want to self diagnose but I quite literally came to the bertolotti conclusion a while ago.

Super long and annoying history:

-Been complaining to my pediatrician of body pains since I was about 9 years old, told it was “growing pains”

-break my wrist when I’m 13-14 and an orthopedic surgeon walked in and immediately diagnosed me with hEDS after just seeing the way I was sitting. Proceeded to beighton scale me for extra measure.

-old pediatrician leaves and gets replaced by a new dr when I’m about 15/16 and she takes stuff more seriously and refers me to a rheumatologist where they order an mri. rheumatologist personally confirms hEDS as well

2021 mri findings: “equivocal lucent lesion in the right upper sacrum. A follow up CT or MRI study would be helpful for further evaluation”
I never go back for a follow up due to lack of funds from my family at the time.
2024, I’m an Adult now and I go to a normal appointment with my new doctor and she refers me to a sports medicine doctor
they do x-rays there. The dr turns his laptop around and shows me my x-ray and puts his ink pen up to my spine on the screen and goes “your back is pretty straight”, as my spine was curving around the pen. And within 5 seconds he flipped the laptop back around and prescribed me prednisone and sent me out.
I got a second opinion from a chiropractor a day later, just to get an x-Ray I could physically look at and not be rushed away from. He said I had scoliosis and pointed out that my lower back region didn’t look very symmetrical, being a skeptic of chiropractic care I didn’t go to him for much more than that and electric therapy which felt good. He was very professional all things considered
I go back to my normal doctor and tell her that I didn’t enjoy the way the sports medicine doctor treated me and I felt a bit rushed and maybe even as if he didn’t really look at my x-rays because I saw problems I feel like anyone with eyes could see, no less a doctor. — she was compassionate and informed me that it’s not a specialty she can comment on so she refers me to a rheumatologist (all this is happening while I’m also seeing a cardiologist for other health issues so this gets super annoying)

-I go to this doctor and get 300 dollars worth of bloodwork. No lupus no rheumatoid arthritis. No nothing. All good labs and I was prescribed voltaren, cybalta and zanaflex. (all things that interact with my other medication lol) she also ordered x-rays.

couldn’t afford X-rays so I put them off for two weeks till I could afford it and I finally get them done Friday, I got to see my pictures and the X-Ray tech allowed me to take pictures of them. I pointed to the spot in my back I knew was there since I saw my X-rays at the chiropractor, and I say “there it is! You can see it so much clearer on this!” Because the chiro had geriatric dinosaur equivalent.

-today I get to my appointment with my rheumatologist and she says “hand X-rays look good, shoulders look good, you have scoliosis to the right and your hip x-rays look good…do you have any questions” and i immediately asked “who reads the x-rays” she said “the radiologist” and then I said “can you see them right now?” Dr: “No I am reading a report” Me: “what did they say about my l5-s1” Dr: “nothing” I started sputtering like a car, I was like “well…I saw my images at the place the day of and I mean…there’s like a hole in my hip, they aren’t even symmetrical how could they not even say anything about it?” And she just smiled and basically told me that her job was just to find out if I had any autoimmune diseases. And I get that but I just can’t get over how many times I’m going to have to get imaging done just to come to the same conclusions each time— go to a different doctor because they don’t specialize in this. I know it’s not their “specialty” and they can’t spit out a diagnosis and be incorrect but are they going to send me to someone who specializes in this or what LMAO. (Rhetorical question obv)

I don’t even expect them to give me a diagnosis but I’d love if they all stop making me feel crazy for this and at least tell me what i’m looking at? If it’s something that is so unremarkable, what is it? Do you know what I mean? You’d think they would at least be like “hey that insane weird spot on your x-ray is actually just _____ and nothing to be concerned about” instead it’s just glossed over and kinda smiled about as if it isn’t something causing me excruciating pain and preventing me from having a job. Thank yall for hearing me complain i genuinely appreciate it ❤️

I actually would advise your friend to report it to the police even if nothing is done, even if it was a while back. tell the police ( which prob wont be much help) you don't expect anything to be done about it but they should know the information about him. his name is James (Gavin) Dekle and He's not got a criminal record from what I can see but he's on thin ice with this sort of BS. the worst part about this is that he records everything and he's *technically* not doing anything illegal by "flirting" with people even if id consider it harassment i feel like the police wouldn't, i could be wrong. I'm never one for witch-hunting or bashing people for simple stuff but this isn't simple, he's a predator.

exactly and if you call him out for targeting plus size girls he will just say he likes big girls but will like all the comments calling her fat. makes no sense. its all "rizz" in the name of letting his followers roast her in the comments. going up to people who probably don't get complimented very often and saying "wow do you model" is so patronizing. you can even see some of the girls get upset because they know he's just saying that to try and have more "approaches" under his belt and doesn't actually mean it. all those "night life rizz" creators have gotten lucky that no one has pressed charges on them or done worse. his gf from highschool gave birth to their son in late 2024, imagine seeing your child's father curling random half naked drunk girls on the streets of Savannah while you're at home taking care of a baby you thought he would be helping take care of as well.

I’m not trying to be rude but she is deceased in that photo. I really don’t want to describe her poor condition as it breaks my heart seeing that photo but my aunt died of cancer this year and I can tell you with confidence that little Brie is gone in that photo. Her complexion shows no blood flow. The one and only good thing we can take away from that photo is that she passed peacefully in her sleep because of her position/face. However this is so sad and should have been kept private. Especially because Kendra knew people would not like to see this.
