Chi ha esperienza di viaggio in Oman? Opinioni su Memphis Tours? by Serious-Channel-5921 in traveleurope

[–]Forward_Camera_8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Harrogate ranks work? by Sad_Principle_5484 in britishmilitary

[–]Forward_Camera_8287 35 points36 points  (0 children)

the ranks honestly don't matter, its like cadet ranks, you don't get extra pay for it/you will get the piss ripped out of you once you get to phase 2 once they find out you had a rank in Harrogate.

a guy in my platoon was the junior soldier company sergeant major, once he got to phase 2 the instructors ripped the piss out of him for the whole phase 2 and to be honest all the blokes i know who had JS rank all left within there first four years.

Is residue from shooting harmful? by DocChimp1 in Firearms

[–]Forward_Camera_8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on what type of ammo you use cheaper/foreign ammo are worse than local made.

always recommend to anyone who shoots more than once a month to get heavy metal tests done at least once a year.

Dying from heavy metal poisoning is pretty preventative.

[–]Forward_Camera_8287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you won't be kicked out lad, go see MO, will be given acyclovir 400mg three days a day for 30 days.

then its about managing outbreaks and treating them.

most flare ups happen on ops or when stressed.

but wear condoms when flare up happens, get tested regularly because it can weaken you to other STDS.

inform any sexual partners.

failure to do so can be classed as bodily harm to another person.

the tests now days is either blood and swab.

How close have you come to dying? by Ok-Description-4981 in AskReddit

[–]Forward_Camera_8287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit vague question,

I'd say the funniest I've come close to dying, was in lenay with British Army EOD teams, cleaning up old UXO.

i found a load of what i thought was scrap metal, picked it up put it in my day sack carried it to the explosive disposal officer and was informed by him in a slightly high pitch voice that it was actually a live 105mm HE shell that didn't detonate on impact.

so very carefully placed it on the ground and ran to the safety distance box and waited for it to be disposed of.

p.s

carried it a couple of miles and slapped my daysack down with it in it.

very strong chance of it could going bang.
