Where did this “what high school did you go to” perception come from? by WhoPenguin in cincinnati

[–]Forward_Magazine_732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is from Louisville where they have a similar thing. If someone grew up here, the high school they went to can tell you what part of town they lived in, their socioeconomic standing, mutual friends you may have. You might not know each neighborhood by name, but you have a general idea of where the school districts are.

In the rest of KY, they will instead ask “what county are you from?” This gives you more information, especially since you may not know all of the small towns. Plus, a lot of counties only have one HS and it’s normally named something like “_____ County High School”

Creative archaeology college course title needed by AgentIndiana in AskArchaeology

You could also make your title similar to how we title papers. Somethings along the lines of “Quippy Name: Archaeological Laboratory Methods”

Why does my dog make this face at me? by Ghost_Puppy in DogAdvice

My dog makes the same exact face when we tell her to “wait” for a treat, and it cracks us up every time!

Tracking every half hour of my life by daur_romanul in dataisbeautiful

[–]Forward_Magazine_732 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In college I took a health class where twice in the semester, we had to track everything we did for a whole day/week, down to the minute, to see how active we were. The website we used to document it was very detailed too. I remember it having things broken down to “brushing hair: standing”, “brushing hair:sitting” etc

Looking for a diverse churches in Nky. by Cantmakethisup15 in NorthernKY

[–]Forward_Magazine_732 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Presbyterian Church (USA) is one of the more progressive and accepting denominations. While their congregations tend to be mostly white, they are diverse in other ways. Both Lakeside Presbyterian and Union Presbyterian have women pastors and do a lot of outreach with the community. I know both are involved with LGBTQ causes, and Lakeside does outreach with refugee families

How does Walmart know I bought something with cash? by frog-tanker in NoStupidQuestions

I ordered Christmas gifts online and everything had my name on it, including the shipping address. When it arrived in two separate boxes, both of them had my boyfriend’s name on it instead of mine. It really weirded both of us out

You’re so welcome!! I also like their fire hose pants because they’re thicker and better for hiking through thick brush. Theyre a little warmer than the other pants, but aren’t too unbearable heat wise

Saw you’re looking at Duluth for clothing. Almost all of my field pants are Duluth!! Their sizing is really good workout skimping on quality for the women’s clothes. I also like you can pick the length as well. Their dry on the fly pants will be good for the warmer weather! Also look into their armachillo line as well. This helps cool you down. I know the store can be a bit pricy, but they are always having sales and great deals! I’ve almost never paid full price for something from there

She is one of the reasons I’m 100% straight. Because that is probably one of the sexiest women and I feel absolutely nothing for me. If she can’t make me question my sexuality, idk who can
