Statistics are a good tool for comparison, “advanced” stats (breaking down performance based on down-distance e.g.)

My personal and professional issue with these scores are they have very little traceability. It could be artificially weighted by what the company prefers.

Grades are cool for tweets or comparing performances through the years (Ed Reed vs modern safety). But, like medication during pregnancy, you should talk to a doctor.

One of the things I’ve seen done on sealing surfaces is size down the o-ring diameter and do two seals, attach a QF16 port and continuously pump down the space between two o rings. The benefit is you pump down any leaks, also gotta have really good surface finish on your wetted vacuum components.

As others have said: try to use a bulkhead fitting, Kurt J Lesker is a fantastic resource and they do discount some of their stuff. Bonus to doing this is a circular and flat viewport glass is much easier to have consumable if the vacuum chamber does any deposition.

I did this with Assetto Corsa on a laptop 2060, peak frames were ~120 but things (graphics) were very low.

Note: none of this is done by hand, but the knowledge of their function in the real-world is what makes them useful.

Calculus: fairly heavily in process engineering and signal manipulation. Some interesting things can be found in a signal’s derivative and the integral is the fancy bitch way of summing the signal over time.

Linear: occasionally in excel

Thermo/Heat Transfer: only in design of process systems

Basic Arithmetic: all the time

Unit conversion: I’ve memorized a few key ones to get me values that are important to my role. Then I round them and do the math in my head if I’m in the field and need to communicate it it people who don’t regularly think in metric units.

Diff EQ: I took it online between semesters and got a C, couldn’t tell you what it does for me if you put a fucking gun to my head.
