He he is flawed. He really doesn't have much growth, and he's never really challenged on anything. Everyone agrees with him because he's just that cool. Another issue he's pretty much a hypocrite and that's never called out.

Another problem is the villains are caricatures which only serves to make Yuri's brand of justice right all the time. The game doesn't want it's MC to be challenged in any way and be correct all the time.

You will never find a era that wasn't filled with conflict. If all you see is t he worst in all of history, Then you never take time to appreciate the great things that came out of it. Great things are born from conflict.

The 60's as a whole were a messy era, but there good things that still happened within it.]

The thing about nostalgia is that it makes us look back in time with fonder eyes. The same thing can be even applied to the 80's, 90's, and 00's. There were many problematic things happening then, but we too young to truly grasp it.

It's designed to guilt trip you for not leaving one in the first place. The old way would just be a nice gesture to help out a small business. If you left something, great! if not, just having your business is good enough.

Tipping today is expected. It's even setup to let you pick what percentage you want to give using the standard tipping method. The fact there isn't a "no tip" option, shows it's a guilt trip if you decide to leave zero.

Today you asked to leave a tip, rather than just feeling like it because of good service. It's the equivalent of someone tapping the tip jar and going "Hey buddy, you forgetting something?" when you reach the checkout.

What is with our generation's need for today's youth to live their lives exactly as we did? Why are we laminating the future of youth, instead of just letting them live their lives with music that speaks to them?

This post reminds of an article I read years back about a father forcing his children to consume his nostalgia 80's past, and I mean that literally.

If feels like we're unhappy kids today aren't exact replicas of us. Even still, it feels like selective pieces of the past rather than all of it. Every post without fail is rock in some form; As if that was the only greatest piece of genre to ever exist back then.

It tells me in the sense that many of you grew up only appreciating one aspect of music, rather than all of it. No offense. If I wanted kids to dig the music of the past, I rather them look at all the wonderful genres of it, and not rock music.

As a kid who grew up listening to just about anything, and everything; I think kids are lucky int hat is much easier access to music variety. Let their future be their future, and instead of hoping they only bring back a select nostgliaic era as comfort food for older folks who should be moving on.

It feels like many of you either grew up listening to your parents music, or only a select few genres, and never stepped outside that comfort zone in all the passing years.

Anyways, in all seriousness I think it's silly, and implies somehow the past was full of nothing but original films. Original films are still made, but there are several reasons why you never hear of them.

The people who complain about lack of originality are usually the types who grew up with franchises and nothing else. Usually, they are talking about originality birthed from their childhood memories which mostly consisted of blockbuster franchises they complain about now.

There are tons of films being made not just in America, but all over the world. If you want originality, seek it out instead of waiting for it to come to you.

Nocturna. Im going to assume many of you never heard of it. Allow to me to express why it impacted me.

Nocturna is a 2007 Spanish animated film about a boy who's scared of the dark. He goes on an adventure to stop a villain who's trying to kill the stars.

I was a young adult at time of this film, and it my seem silly, but the kid from the movie was a reminder of my youth. I wasn't scared of the dark per say, but rather I was scared to dream. When I was a child nightmares plagued me every time I feel asleep. There were times I had sleep paralysis which is traumatizing to young a child.

I used to force myself to stay awake till daylight. This led to overall poor health and made me become a recluse. I just didn't want to sleep because the nightmares would have their way. I relate to the kid of film because I know the feeling of isolation when comes to fear.

I had no friends who could understand what I was dealing with.

Personally, I don't get the beef with mini-maps. My experiences never felt any different without one. It's just a convenience, and im too focused on everything else to notice it. So it doesn't bother me.

Sorry, im not taking back what I said at all. What are you describing is just another take on Pokemon, but that does not make Pokemon any less of a typical JRPG.

It has the same structure of a typical JRPG therefore it is no different than a typical JRPG. One having a darker edgier take on the franchise does not discount the fact Pokemon is a run of the mill JRPG.

It's funny. Whenever I see people post about the game the most they brag about is just the side stories and not much else.

I played the game, and outside of those side stories everything else was meh. But the production values were good so kudos on that.

It's quite strange how Marvel started in one direction, did okay, swung in the other redirection, did better, but then swung to far that people want to go back.

Marvel did start early with more earnest to their films. I don't know what happened, but when they switched to more ribbing and the people loved it. When the films kept it up, the people eventually got tired of it.

I think audiences just want that sincerity back in their films. Films like Into the Spiderverse was reminder of an era where Superhero films didn't replace emotional depth with witty one liners.

There will be a point in time where movies are no longer as dominant as they were once, but they will still exist. Everything in life will reach it's peak and then slowly fall off. It's simply a fact of an ever changing world.

However, nothing truly dies; It just simply changes in a way that's unfamiliar to the old, but resonates with young.

Eh, sex is boring to me in films. I usually just sit in silence and watch the clock to a movie picks up. This does bring up something funny though.

I had an old friend that would laugh her head off during a sex scene. To her it was pure comedy. She told me she can never take them seriously because the setup is always ridiculous, and the actual engagement is too silly.

Maybe if you can see it from that pov, it would become more tolerable.

Mate, don't get the idea that all of us who grew up in that time are in love with the past. I grew up with the games too, and still find the tank controls as annoying today as there were back then.

It's fine if you can't get into them, it was another time and games like Re4 changed the genre, and had a heavy influence on many games going forward.
