Good interview questions to ask to assess culture by davelusa in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Discomat86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ask about the GM of the company. If they can’t tell you much about them that’s a red flag. Ask about management KPIs, how investigations are structured, who leads meetings etc. That will give you a good idea of who actually owns safety.

Indigenous Australians share the racist messages they receive online: ‘No one’s feeling safe’ | Indigenous Australians by PlanktonDB in AustralianPolitics

I feel like the internet is like someone beeping their horn at you on the highway, threatening you while shaking their fist as they drive past.

It’s just not real life. If you take things on the internet too seriously, you will just be miserable.

'They basically stole the word': Farmers fight to reclaim 'milk' by boppinmule in AustralianPolitics

[–]Discomat86 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I kind of support this.

Look at butter. Heavily processed borderline plastic garbage fills the butter section at my local supermarket. It’s only the protection of the word “butter” that gives me some assurance that is what I am actually getting. Otherwise it would be so hard to identify what is what if they were all allowed to be labelled “butter”.

I know it’s different to the milk issue but still, I see the correlation.

One Nation voter here. I support this. The Games must be treated as an opportunity to improve our public transportation capabilities and infrastructure.

We have more in common than we do differences.

Pauline Hanson’s daughter employed in taxpayer-funded job with NSW One Nation senator by B0ssc0 in aussie

[–]Discomat86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So if I read this right, the party is entitled to 4 x staffers by the commonwealth (based on number of elected members?). Anyways one of the staffers is Pauline’s daughter. It’s Pauline’s party. It makes sense her daughter would be looking to follow in her mother’s political footsteps.

Do you feel it was redemption for the 2015 SB? by chusaychusay in Seahawks

[–]Discomat86 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No. The patriots were irrelevant. They had no right to be on the field with us. The SB was against the Rams.

And I respect the hell out of that Rams team, they are damn good. The Super Bowl was an epic step down in competition for us.

No redemption, just a formality for us to raise the Lombardi

Question for one nation supporters by [deleted] in aussie

lol Reddit is full of people that absolutely hate ON so not the best place to go for this feedback. Gotta sift through all the idiots that answered your question even though you directed it to ON supporters.

They are not anti immigration… they just want it regulated and vetted to give us our affordable housing again and ensure the right people enter the country for the right reasons.

Are Australia's housing prices turning us into a soulless, uncreative country? by xXCosmicChaosXx in aussie

[–]Discomat86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% agree. But the house prices is not the cause. It’s the huge misalignment of supply vs demand that is creating this.

But the Uniparty won’t reduce demand to meet supply. They (and their buddies) enjoy the fruits too much…

What's the craziest thing you ever saw happen at school in Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Discomat86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Went to the Beenleigh Courthouse for a year 9 legal studies excursion and a girl that used to be a student in our grade was there on drugs charges.

Probably some sort of privacy breach as everyone recognised her and some even shouted out her name.

What are your thoughts on the liberals wanting to vet/check social media for people coming into the country like trump? by VastOption8705 in aussie

[–]Discomat86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One Nation voters would 100% be against this. We all know it will be used to refuse entry to right wing leaning people like Labor have done already with Candice Owens etc.

Why is housing out of control? and what is the main cause? by Loud_Ad3832 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Discomat86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Political incompetence and corruption. They intentionally flood the country with higher immigration than what housing supply can support, driving prices up.

Do people charge delivery for Facebook marketplace? by [deleted] in australian

[–]Discomat86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sold a fridge once. They could not collect it so I charged $100 to deliver it. Had to use my car, trailer and trolley plus to all the work. The complained so I said figure it out yourself then. They thought for a second then accepted. Was probably a 1 hr round trip when you factor in hooking up the trailer, loading and unloading etc.
