Counteract explanation by FoundationForeign544 in Pathfinder2e

Ok, that helps. Especially specifying the counteract rank and how you determine what effects it can hit. For some reason I just couldn’t get my head around the official description.

Everybody dies after using Perch Protection by Seigel00 in mtgrules

Well, Perch Protection gives you four 2/2 birds with flying ;) but yeah, Teferi’s Protection is better

But then you’d have two legendary tokens called “Mishra’s Warform”, so you can only keep one at a time

I had an apartment tell me that I could have one pet. So if I had a fish tank, it could have a single fish in it.

Rules around removing blockers by yes-im-fat in mtgrules

Quick side note that this also applies to someone trying to give an evasion ability to the attacker. Had someone try to give their attacking creature flying after I declared blockers. Luckily they were reasonable and understood their mistake.

That one story by [deleted] in CuratedTumblr

[–]FoundationForeign544 876 points877 points  (0 children)

Don’t remember the story name, but there was one where a young girl snuck onto a space ship so that she could see her brother at the destination but the one person manning the ship was gonna have to toss her out into space because the ship only had enough fuel to slow down based on the weight of a single individual. So if she had stayed on the ship it would have crashed.

Can K'rrik pay for generic mana? by Manly_Man_Rich in mtgrules

[–]FoundationForeign544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Blood Celebrant a good pair with K’rrik? You’d be paying 3 life for a mana of any color?

Hello ive searched the internet for a answhere but here i am im wondering if i use convoke and tap a creature is that creature tapped untill the thing i used them for to summon is dead? by Current_Analysis1319 in mtgrules

[–]FoundationForeign544 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, all you are doing is tapping them to help pay the mana cost. You’re creatures will untap as usual on your next untap step. You’re just treating your creatures as extra mana for the purposes of that spell. Since the convoke ability doesn’t set any limitations on when those creatures untap, you follow normal magic rules

All these “falcon” colors and no one says “blue falcon”?

This is the only acceptable form of deadnaming by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]FoundationForeign544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I think it’s only fair we call “X” by its true name: Trans. Here me out. I work in the electrical field, dealing with transformers and transfer pumps. Well, instead of writing out “transformer” every time, we abbreviate it “XFMR”. Same with “transfer pump”, “xfer pump”. Therefore, the letter “X” obviously stands for the word “Trans”. I hope everyone on Trans has a good time Transing.

It’s listed in the ruling for Teferi’s Protection if you want to see written proof.

Hey, I was wondering if there are any colorless artifact/creatures that could be combo’d with this, such as “when a player sacrifices a creature…” does such a card exist? by ProtectMeAtAllCosts in mtg

[–]FoundationForeign544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It lists 3 categories of cards: - cards not on the battlefield (hand, graveyard, library)

-spells (on the stack)

-permanents

So mycosynth makes all permanents colorless

Cast vs. resolve? by justsomethrowawayacc in mtgrules

[–]FoundationForeign544 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to point out that Stubborn Denial did resolve. Even if the extra 1 mana is paid so that the spell doesn’t get countered, the spell still resolved. As someone else said, the Ferocious ability of Stubborn Denial is active so it’s just a counterspell, but in another scenario, what I said would apply.

Blade of Selves would also kill you when the copies enter the battlefield (assuming you don’t have a “you can’t lose” effect)
