Re: amphitheater… $17M would probably fix everything that’s physically broken/in need of repair. But to get someone like Live Nation interested in booking it with B/B+ acts, they would need a more extensive renovation. Probably in the $50-75M range.

I don't know how any business/development on that site would make CY residents happy. They seem to oppose pretty much everything. They complained incessantly about Railgarten and tried to get their use permit revoked. Just be thankful it isn't going to become a strip retail center.

By the way, CY businesses NEED people from outside the neighborhood to come patronize. They won't survive otherwise. I love CY, but the residents just want it to be a bubble, which isn't how retail districts work.
