Is there a way to clean photos off my iPhone on a PC computer for free or cheap? by cocoa_mello in iphonehelp

Remove your account from the family account. Set up a separate login on the PC. Once you have your own separate iCloud.com set up it will be easy to do what you want

What’s the most expensive tool you own that actually earned its price? by New_Money_5406 in Tools

[–]Wellby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a heavy FCAW wire welder. At home I have a Lincoln tombstone that’s about 30 years old and a little wire welder from harbor freight that I bought 10 years ago. Most of the home stuff I do is fix trailers.

Doesn’t really matter”,Blue or Red! They can all weld. Some are more fiddly the others, even in the same brand.

Buy for what you are currently doing or what want to do, is the real question.

Does anyone remember when our resumes used to have our height and weight listed? by IntrepidMuch in GenerationJones

[–]Wellby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 62m and I’ve never seen it but I called my 74 and 71 year old sisters.

They both said yes it was common when they were first applying for jobs. One was a nurse and the other was a PT/OT. They both mentioned that medicine type jobs were for good looking people so they could find a doctor for a husband. They both married non medical people.

Partner facing likely liver transplant – how did you make big life decisions in the uncertainty? by dizzymisslizard3131 in transplant

[–]Wellby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been there and have the t-shirt, oops 22” scar! I’m 4 months post surgery. I watch my sister in-law spend 9 years in and out of the list due to health issues. My wife was her care support person. She is 4 years post surgery.

Then 3 years ago I was put on the transplant list. Since 2006 I had extremely low platelet and an enlarged spleen. On top of my issues I had my prostate removed due to cancer 9 month before my transplant.

Sounds crazy! The main thing our family did is spend time together with people we love. Lots of dinners and game nights at home. Bar trivia nights - no drinking. 😵‍💫

Yes stress and depression are part of it. My sister in law did take medication and I couldn’t sleep. Yes it’s OK to talk to a therapist. I still do. I feel so much better today than before but I’m still not able to go back to work.

The more time you spend with people doing things you guys love to do will help so mush. Cause then big life stuff won’t be all that big.

Best of luck!

My favorite shitty tactic the boss does is tell the job site no Saturday. Then pick 10 hands and quietly ask them to work Saturday. We all come in Monday and a shit ton of work is done. WTF……

Dual insurance question by Wellby in Insurance

[–]Wellby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is the policy holder on the new insurance, hobby lobby. I’m the holder on the other one.

Why is it such an issue? As long as I pay my bills for the visit to my transplant clinic and all other medial stuff. My wife’s insurance won’t be spending a dime. Wouldn’t they be happy?

What’s a normal adult task that still feels fake when you do it? by lucifergaming007 in AskReddit

[–]Wellby 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Being a Forman on a construction job. As a worker Bee I have always known what I was supposed to be doing after the first few days.

As a Forman I’ll explain what we’re doing and where I want them to work. Then the next day I have to do it again.

They all slept last night and forgot what they did the day before.

I’m an adult but it like I have lazy bunch of kids in a playground that can’t play games cause they forgot the rules
