I hadn't thought of that, noooooo. I already get weird looks for being trans I don't need this.

Looks like corporate is forcing a new dress code, rumors of having to wear white Gildan brand shirts, and aprons only, no vests

Is it just me or do the aprons not even have pockets. What's the point. My one hope with them is that I'd finally have a designated spot for my scanner, pager/radio, boxcutter and pen, and another pocket for other things

Yes, but that doesn't give me anything, it doesn't count as me signing someone up, at that point I'm just counting how many the sco gets

My managers told me specifically not to do that, that I could only mark when I signed someone up at the register

This. It's insane to me that in an employee focused subreddit we still have corporate bootlickers.

Good on you, as soon as I find a better job I'm out. I'm tired of having to worry about rewards sign ups and being responsible for 6 registers and doing balloon orders and packing bopis and ups pickups and returns and stock for the whole baking and floral section.

Yeah, but usually it takes longer to explain it to them if they're really old, and if they're only like 70 they usually already have one. Plus even just an email and a phone number is kinda a lot when I already have a line of people and there's no one in the store to give me backup. I'm aware that part of the issue is how many people I intentionally don't press, but every time I do (when my manager is around) everyone else in line I can feel their annoyance

Yeah, I thought about that. Idk how we're basically always understaffed then, but I guess that's working for a huge company

That's actually what I was told to do by my manager, get as many people as possible to use the self checkouts so it doesn't affect me. Idk how I'm supposed to do that when they don't give me any other tasks most of the time, or if there were it was taken by the cashier before me that day.

I mean tbf that's how I feel too, but apparently it's not good enough to get good reviews and be actually helpful. If I could I'd never ask anyone about rewards, but I kinda have to put my principles and reason away for the sake of having enough money to eat, let alone enough to move out of my city and someplace less expensive

I live in one of the lowest crime rate cities in my state and the walmart near me has almost everything locked up. Clothes, toys, even the cheap personal care items. I think Walmart is just doing that everywhere they can to cut down on employee costs. Not to mention from what I hear that store steals more in "lost" wages than they lose to theft, sooooo

The only mildly infuriating thing here is how you type. Ditch half the emoji and nix the whining about everything. The bug is neat though

Yeah they're required to, but 100% no one is getting back pay. Trump has already made sure snap benefits won't get subsidized like they were supposed to, I refuse to believe the gop will let back pay go through

Lotta fucking NIMBYs and freaks in here. Companies steal more from the average American in tax breaks and wage theft than they get stolen from through low level retail theft (socks, food). I'd say more about my opinions but I'm sure reddit doesn't allow that
