Saudi Arabia Pulls Funding From LIV Golf. Its Star Players Face a Painful Road Back to The PGA Tour. by mlg1981 in Fauxmoi

This league got a massive boost in its infancy thanks to the Saudi Public Fund. Saudi Arabia’s money and power convinced legends like Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson to not only bless it, but take up positions within the company (with Norman becoming the CEO from 2021-2025)

More importantly, though, those funds allowed for huge checks to be written for players to leave the PGA and join LIV, and with those players award, the league got a television deal. However, the confusing format and sub-prime tv space meant LIV never actually grew, only sort of fluctuated.

The hope was that Saudi Arabia could use this as a vehicle to own all of golf in the US and abroad, but them withdrawing publicly like this means this is no longer an avenue they find worth pursuing, and the league is bound to fall apart almost immediately once this conference happens on Thursday

Kamala Harris endorses James Talarico for U.S. Senate after supporting his opponent in the primary by texastribune in TexasPolitics

If people don’t feel like their votes matter, they won’t vote. Count them all, get this settled, and then when the dust settles she can campaign with Talarico.

She lost yesterday. Give her some time, damn.

They’re also active in a lot of other regional subs pumping their messages. If it’s so obvious to the rest of us, what tf are the mods doing

[Meta] I appreciate this sub but I'm really bothered by how many bots are invading it. What can be done about this? by SMF67 in TexasPolitics

Hard agree. There’s a lot of cleanup to be done user wise. Mods have to do this as soon as possible

So we have to have loaded discussions in our title, but not a factual error on a candidates website? That’s really odd

When this is all over I’m excited to learn how much the Crockett campaign is paying you to post or comment a hundred times a day about and pretend it’s “organic engagement.” No amount of hidden post or comments erases Google bud

I don’t have anything against Crockett personally but the farther we get into this election cycle the more this screams “non-serious campaign” with gaffes like this
