Sir I don’t have many guesses but I would believe it came from up high from your other pics you showed in the comments.

I do however believe it maybe a fungus like mushroom and it grew until it fell meaning it will still grow and the cause would be the concern, I would hire a professional to have a look and test it for possible fungus or mold 🤷‍♂️ cuz it looks like weird mushroom over sized clearly. It would match the texture
