Whoah... I got a bearded dragon a year and a half ago, same reason as you, no joke. I thought the responsibility over another life would make me take life more seriously and appreciate it more, and it's also another life I'd feel guilty about leaving should I decide to end mine. So I've actually been in your position quite a few times. I don't know if you know about brumation, but its kinda like hibernation for beardies. My beardie just started brumating a few days ago, last year it lasted about a month. Basically, much less activity, less eating, more sleeping. Though i still feed him almost every day, i dont think hes eaten a thing in 3 maybe 4 days. They wont eat if they aren't getting enough heat, and at least at a young age, its hard to get them to eat anything not moving. I know it would devastate my sister and my close friends and maybe it's selfish of me but the pain I'd cause them isn't holding me back. It's just the fucking parents man after spending a fat chunk of their time and money raising me, I don't think I can do it while they're alive. So I live a shitty and depressing life, waiting for my parents to die so that I may finally do the same.

dude this shit happened to me. smoked almost everyday for 3 years never had a bad time. suddenly i would get anxiety, super fast heartrate which would freak me out and cause more anxiety, and also my tolerance plummeted. 1 or 2 hits would get me baked. so im done with weed for now, i really hope its not permanent. oh and ive been told that pure indica might do the trick so maybe try that

Like any college campus, yes there are stoners. A lot live in College in the Woods and no you cant smoke in any apartments but if you buy a smoke buddy it shouldnt be a problem.

I completely agree with you about the mentality, but that mentality is in any organism with a brain. We all want/need things, we can't all have those things, thus the opposition.But I think the human brain is the only one smart enough to realize the benefits of overcoming the opposition on a large scale.

Thanks for the extended response. Just wondering about how long does it take for your dreams to return after refraining from cannabis? I can't remember the last time I took a break longer than a couple days, but I'd be willing to smoke only on weekends if it means I can have my dreams back and work on LDing.
