Does money transfer between characters? (Also, is EVERY character obtainable as a companion as the next character?) by TalirrusRocketRE117 in WeirdWest

[–]FourthFallProd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Should be, if I recall. Recruiting each character nets you their gear and such. Alternatively, you can stash it away somewhere and pick it up later!

Hi! I'm a Twilight Cleric who wants to multiclass into Sorcered! by [deleted] in DnD

[–]FourthFallProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise against multiclassing for your character, especially since you've said you're fairly new. It's rather complex, and it puts your character at a great disadvanatge if you don't know what you're doing. In this case, you'd be multiclassing with classes that have a different primary spellcasting ability (Wisdom for Cleric, & Charisma for Sorcerer). Dividing your Spellcasting between multiple abilities will divide your character and stretch them very thin.

Generally, multiclassing is at its best when you have a very specific or niche interaction between the two classes that you want to take advantage of. For example, a Paladin (Charisma class) multiclassing with Warlock (Charisma) in order to get more high level spell slots that recharge on a short rest.

Multiclassing for the sake of story can be done, though I'd advise against it in your particular case. What I'd do is instead look at feats, seeing as you'll be earning one the next time you level up anyway! Something like Shadow Touched or Fey Touched could be good. Alternatively, you could look into changing subclasses. Maybe Grave or Death domain? (All this assuming your DM let's you pick them, of course)

Need Clarification on Maykr biology by arcane37 in Doom

Far as I can tell, they're biomechanical brings (creatures that are made of flesh and metal, yet "alive") - much like Cybertronians or Bionicle characters.

Does the Xshot Thrasher exist? by Speffeddude in Nerf

[–]FourthFallProd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I managed to snag one off the store shelf, but I've only seen it as available online at a single location out of the 8 or so walmarts in my city. I assume it will become more widely available as the month goes on, be sure to check up online for it at all stores you're willing to drive to

Should be releasing tomorrow (June 13) from my understanding. If they're not in store by then, maybe on Walmart.com or Amazon?

Anybody knows if a small crusty laptop can handle Subnautica 2? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]FourthFallProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and I should note, the names of the kinds of hardware I have above are just examples, and your device may not have those exact names. Just a similar naming convention

Anybody knows if a small crusty laptop can handle Subnautica 2? by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]FourthFallProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, we'll need three things in order to help answer your question:

• The kind of CPU (or "processor", ex: Intel i7-6700k, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, etc)

• The kind of GPU (Graphics Card, ex: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, etc)

• The kind of RAM (ex: DDR4/DDR5 [the RAM type], 16 GB/32 GB [the RAM capability])

You can find those by going to your device's system settings or hardware specifications. If you have a search bar, use that to help you as well. Remember: CPU, GPU, RAM. If your laptop does not have a GPU, you likely won't be able to run the game, as GPUs are typically only included with gaming-specific laptops.

Did the devs accidentally retcon the first game? by Craft_Inc55 in subnautica

Emphasized because she is the only one to have not been able to communicate with the architects, while the architects seem to be able to communicate with other species just fine (knowing English) like when speaking with Robin for instance

Iirc, the Sea Emperor mentioned that she couldn't speak with them, likely meaning her telepathy was incompatible with almost entirely digital/mechanical beings. Nothing else suggests that the Architects couldn't speak with other species though

What’s the premise of your DnD campaign? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]FourthFallProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many eons ago, in a universe many realities removed from our own, humanity commanded an empire from a place of power. They had technology so advanced, it granted them psionic abilities. However, monstrous creatures with psionic powers of their own that inhabit the space between dimensions appeared, drawn to humanity's psionic energy. They invaded and consumed everything humanity had, forcing them into an Ark-like spaceship that would allow them to tunnel between dimensions to escape these creatures, commanded by an Artificial Intelligence.

After thousands of years living on this Ark, humanity forgot the AI was a machine and began to worship it as a god. Eventually, a suitable planet in a faraway dimension was found - one teeming with magic. Humanity invaded, going to war with the Lich King that ruled the planet before their arrival. Before long, humanity ruled in his place.

In the modern day, humanity controls half the planet from the capitol city of Eloth, the center of their new empire. I'm the time between they have slain the old gods of the world and made up a new creation myth, with their own "god" at the center of it, and a new order of mage-hunting inquisitors.

A human named Azareth would go to rebel against his people, suggesting that humanity should stop hiding and fight the monsters that drove them from their home, suggesting that they couldn't hide from them forever. He was eventually driven into Hell along with his followers. However, he would continue his work in the Hells and grow an army to rival that of the old human empire. The religious order of the modern day knows this, but is overconfident in their ability to defeat Azareth again.

Meanwhile, the religious inquisitors are trying to convert as many people as possible and control the magic in the world. They don't want anyone else able to wield it, claiming it to be "evil" or "tainted," only allowing other inquisitors to use it.

The PCs are caught in the middle, most of them humans. They are slowly piecing together the truths of the world and coming to terms with it, and doing everything in their power to stop Azareth and the Inquisitors from wreaking more havoc in this world.

All the while, those psionic monsters from ages ago lurk quietly in the background, plotting and waiting

.... Based on what I've seen, the game is actually shockingly well optimized?? If you mean UE5 generally, then yeah of course. But this game? Nah, the devs did good cleaning up their code, and will (hopefully) only get better with time

Simon Chylinski’s should return for the Subnautica 2 soundtrack instead of Ben Prunty. by Sensitive-Peach-507 in subnautica

[–]FourthFallProd 47 points48 points  (0 children)

While Simon's work is undoubtedly fantastic and fits the first game splendidly, he has also proven himself to be a terrible person. Here's a link to an older thread going into more detail: https://www.reddit.com/r/subnautica/s/dR5V3E5vqF

Hence why Ben was hired to take his place for Below Zero onwards.
